The Lord Bless Thee - Numbers 6:22-27. No matter how apostate the times or backslidden much of the church is, no matter how deep the downgrade of religion or rampant the error and recklessness, those who keep to the old paths wherein is the good way and seek this blessing may rest assured they will receive it. This is the blessing of the Lord for each of His people.
In Spirit and Truth - John 4:24; Ezekiel 33:31. I had many reminders this week that there is a people calling themselves the Lord's own who resemble those spoken of by the prophet Ezekiel in that text I just read. There is a growing disdain for the supremacy and immutability of God's Word. There is a general throwing off of the bands and cords which bind us to the Lord and keep us from grievous sin and ruin. The Blessing and Safety of Keeping and Pondering Revealed Truth - Luke 2:19. The example of that little, humble Jewish girl puts many Christians to shame. So many today spend so little time carefully and patiently pondering the wonderful promises, the great doctrines, and the beauty of the Lord set forth in His Word. Love Is Not Faith The Lord Our Deliverer - Psalm 144 The Reconciling of Sinners to God - 2 Corinthians 5:20 No Other Rest - Matthew 11:28-30. For my part, I am not the least bit interested in preaching an Arminian gospel, a neo-evangelical gospel, or a hyper-Calvinist gospel. From time to time, I get rebuked by individuals representing all three of those constituencies. Two Seeds and the Sons of God - Genesis 3:15. Satan, a murderer from the beginning, is happy to shed the blood of the saints. But when it comes to weakening the church, crippling her work, and muting her testimony, subtlety has been far more effective for Satan. What the devil cannot achieve by violence and persecution, he labors to gain by subtlety and seduction. What Satan cannot achieve as a lion, he has a number of times come very close to accomplishing as a serpent. The King and His Kingdom - Matthew 13:36-46 The Fullness of God in Us - Ephesians 3:19 A Christian Profiled - Romans 8:9-17 No Man Likeminded - Philippians 2:20-21 Satan's Real Campaign Exposed by the Scriptures - Ephesians 6:12 Love Which Will See Us Through to Victory - Romans 8:31-39 Let There Be Light - 2 Corinthians 4:6 Speak, Lord; Thy Servant Heareth - 1 Samuel 3 Because the Lord Is Faithful and Just - 1 John 1:9 Comfort for the Faithful Church - Isaiah 40:1-8 The Tender Mercies of the Lord - James 5:11 A Blast Against Ecumenical Sophists A Joyful Finish - Acts 20:24 Our LORD Jehovah - Isaiah 12 That Ye May Know - 1 John 5:13 The Greatest of These - 1 Corinthians 13:13 For I Am Thy God - Isaiah 41:10 Be Filled with the Spirit - Ephesians 5:18 What We Ought to Do - 2 Chronicles 32:1-8 A Living Sacrifice - Romans 12:1-2 God Forbid That We Should Glory - Galatians 6:14 ![]()

Prepare to Meet Thy God - Amos 4; Amos 2:4-5; Amos 3:1-3. God has a controversy with America. But, on a far more serious note, the Lord has a controversy with the evangelical church in America.
Forsaking Mercy for Lying Vanities - Jonah 2:7-9 Turn Again Our Captivity, O Lord - Psalm 126. We have too many good-enough Christians who are content to have morality without spirituality and piety without power. The Way of Happiness - Psalm 1 A Pastor Named Paul - Acts 20:16-32. Our text today is Paul's last in-person exhortation to the elders of the church at Ephesus. The Apostle Paul did not shun to declare all the counsel of God. He was a Christian man's man and a pastor's pastor. God's Righteousness Revealed and Declared - Romans 3:21-31 Lay Hold and Fight - 1 Timothy 6:12. I believe these two charges--fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life--sum up the essentials for an obedient, fruitful, faithful, consistent, joyful, triumphant Christian life. A Psalm of Praise - Psalm 100 Filthy Dreamers and Their Dangerous Doctrines - Jude 17-21. There is no cause more pressing than contending for the faith once delivered unto the saints. And there is no foe more dangerous to the Lord's people than ungodly men who pervert that faith. He Must Increase, but I Must Decrease - John 3:22-36. It is a joyful thing to come to the conclusion that Christ must increase, but I must decrease. It sets a man at liberty to serve the Lord with joy. It brings peace to a man's heart. Will Ye Also Go Away? - John 6:67. To stand firm for God's Word and walk with Jesus these days is to be part of a dwindling band of disciples. Quench Not the Spirit - 1 Thessalonians 5:19. We would all do well to ask ourselves today, Do I quench the Spirit? The Christian's Inheritance and Portion - Genesis 31:14-15. Will your ingratitude to your heavenly Father--who is not like Laban but gives you your inheritance and guards it, who wants to give you a full portion in His house--be so great that you don't care about His portion? We Shall Be Saved - Romans 5:6-11 A Hard Stripe - Numbers 20:12. Those who refuse to sanctify the Lord will suffer great loss. Even if the day of reckoning is far in the future, it will come. Remember Moses. Lovest Thou Me More Than These? - John 21:1-17. As they passed through the gate into prison, as they lay in their own blood after being tortured, as they were tied to the stake, as they laid their heads down on the block, they said before the whole world, "Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee." Let Us Be As the Church at Jerusalem - Acts 2:42. Could we not benefit greatly by considering the condition and characteristics of the church at Jerusalem? That church had just experienced a great, powerful work of revival when God rent the heavens, came down, and made three thousand hearts His own. Who Will Stand with Zion and Her King? - Psalm 3. PCC Camp Meeting 2007 More Chaff Than Wheat - Matthew 3:11-12. PCC Camp Meeting 2007 The Precious Blood of Jesus - 1 Peter 1:18-19 That I Might Know Him - Philippians 3:1-14 The Lord Our Strong Tower - Proverbs 18:10. Who is willing to say of these sort of things: "An enemy has done this. This is the devil's handiwork!"? But no, too many are too busy building a tower of Babel. The truth has fallen in the streets of Zion and many of God's people love to have it so. |

Important: SermonAudio tags will appear on some of the messages found on this web site. We are not in any way affiliated with SermonAudio! Please read the following explanation.
Those who listen to archived sermons or Heart of the Matter programs on this web site will notice that, currently, when they download some of those sermons and HOM programs that a SermonAudio logo appears. This is because Pilgrims Covenant Church messages were for a number of years posted at SermonAudio. But due to the increasingly deep compromise of SermonAudio in posting sermons from ministers unfaithful either in doctrine or practice or both, and also on account of the many corrupt conferences advertised on SermonAudio, we withdrew from SermonAudio. However, I did not realize when posting our sermons and programs on that site on a page for which we paid that the management was tagging our MP3 files with the logo of SermonAudio. We are working to remove the SermonAudio logo from all of the sermons and programs posted on this site which were previously posted at SermonAudio. However, this takes much time; so we felt it important to post this explanation and also this warning concerning SermonAudio, a web site with many sound ministers, but also many which are corrupting the Lord's blood-bought church. |
