Romans 3:3-4 Pastor Ralph Ovadal 52 minutes God is always true, and every man who contradicts Him or does not believe Him is a liar. God hasn't failed. His promises are all yea and amen. Let God be true but every man a liar. If we are not seeing these promises increasingly manifested in our lives, it's not God's fault. It's our fault.

Luke 19:41-46; Matthew 23:37-39; Psalm 48 Pastor Ralph Ovadal 48 minutes And what can we say about such people? The Church must go forward. The Church must be militant. The Church must be triumphant. The chaste bride must be kept chaste. What can we say to such people who turn away from the preaching of the Word over and over? Well, we can paraphrase Oliver Cromwell.

Romans 1:16 Pastor Ralph Ovadal 49 minutes When the churches of God are filled with people who apparently do not have the power of God working in their lives and apparently do not care--that is a greater harm to the cause of Christ than a Christian here or there falling into the sort of grievous sins which are universally condemned by Christians everywhere. It is a great tragedy when a single Christian commits a grievous sin, but what does it say to the world about the power of the gospel when whole churches are filled with shallow, selfish people wallowing in spiritual mediocrity, immaturity, and dissimulation?
Luke 1:67-79 Lord's Table Message Pastor Ralph Ovadal 24 minutes We have a multitude of reasons to think and sing and say, "Blessed be the Lord God." Certainly chief among those reasons is that the Lord God hath visited and redeemed His people.
Ruth Pastor Ralph Ovadal 52 minutes We ought to remember Boaz as a choice servant of the Lord and a brother in whom we have a godly example. Boaz was a strong man with a godly character. Day in and day out, he was a godly man's man. We need men like Boaz in the Lord's Church. We have very few like him today.

Important: SermonAudio tags will appear on some of the messages found on this web site. We are not in any way affiliated with SermonAudio! Please read the following explanation.
Those who listen to archived sermons or Heart of the Matter programs on this web site will notice that, currently, when they download some of those sermons and HOM programs that a SermonAudio logo appears. This is because Pilgrims Covenant Church messages were for a number of years posted at SermonAudio. But due to the increasingly deep compromise of SermonAudio in posting sermons from ministers unfaithful either in doctrine or practice or both, and also on account of the many corrupt conferences advertised on SermonAudio, we withdrew from SermonAudio. However, I did not realize when posting our sermons and programs on that site on a page for which we paid that the management was tagging our MP3 files with the logo of SermonAudio. We are working to remove the SermonAudio logo from all of the sermons and programs posted on this site which were previously posted at SermonAudio. However, this takes much time; so we felt it important to post this explanation and also this warning concerning SermonAudio, a web site with many sound ministers, but also many which are corrupting the Lord's blood-bought church. |
