Reformation or Consequences PCC Camp Meeting 2006 - While many evangelicals are now willing to contribute at least something to the fight against such evils as the sodomite agenda and unborn child killing, only a tiny minority of us are willing to fight against the greatest enemy outside Christ's church which ever reared up against God. Jesus Christ Is Ours Isaiah 9:6. Christ does not belong to the false convert. He does not belong to those who would claim and then manipulate Him for their own gain. Christ does not belong to the apostates. He belongs to us, His people.
Sifted by Satan Luke 22:23-34. What if Peter had been a false convert, as Satan had hoped he was? What if Peter had been chaff instead of wheat? The Lawful Use of Law Romans 6:14-15. Liberty abused to lawlessness always breeds tyranny. God's moral law ignored and abused at one point will beget more law-ignoring and more law-abusing at all points. Horseleaches among the Lord's People Proverbs 30:11-16. If pastors are to guard the Lord's flock from savage wolves, I'm telling you we are to just as surely guard the flock from horseleaches. Ye That Tremble at His Word Isaiah 66:1-6. Why were our reformers put to death? Because they trembled at God's Word and refused to compromise it for pope or king. Will we live like Cretians or like Christians? This epistle certainly gives us fair warning with regard to the former. It gives us much encouragement and instruction with regard to the latter. We Must Have Truth John 1:14. As the head is, so the body should be. Jesus Christ is full of grace and truth; but Christ's body, the Church, is not always so full of grace and truth. Images and Devils 1 Timothy 6:20-21. I want to warn you about two dangerous errors that are the result of a craving by professing Christians for visual, sensual stimulation: the use of images of God and the exorcism of devils. The Humiliation of Christ as Defined by the Scriptures 2 John 9-12. Some, such as the Jehovah's Witnesses, exploit these passages to their own destruction; and many Christians are confused by the same passages. A Godly Man's Man We ought to remember Boaz as a choice servant of the Lord and a brother in whom we have a godly example. Boaz was a strong man with a godly character. Blessed Be the Lord God of Israel Luke 1:67-79. We have a multitude of reasons to think and sing and say, "Blessed be the Lord God." Certainly chief among those reasons is that the Lord God hath visited and redeemed His people. What about the Power of the Gospel? Romans 1:16. What does it say to the world about the power of the gospel when whole churches are filled with shallow, selfish people wallowing in spiritual mediocrity, immaturity, and dissimulation? God Hasn't Failed Romans 3:3-4. God is always true, and every man who contradicts Him or does not believe Him is a liar. God hasn't failed. His promises are all yea and amen. The Serpent's Hiss Hebrews 5:14. As we talk about this Bible perversion, remember who is endorsing and selling it. Then ask yourselves, where is the concern among the Lord's people? Where is the outrage? Where is the zeal? Where are the contenders for the faith? What if You Had No Church? Psalm 137. Words Matter God's Word has meaning, authority, force, and consequences. Men's words also have meaning and consequences, even though today everything is subjective to some. Established with Grace Hebrews 13:9. If it is a good thing for our hearts to be established with grace, then we should know what that means and sincerely, tenaciously seek after it. Is This Your Testimony? 2 Corinthians 5:1-9. Let's look at this text which is not so much a dying text, and it is not a text for the spiritually dead. It is a text which tells Christians how to live. |
