Thanks to at least a century-long spiritual and doctrinal downgrade, a mighty host of false disciples of Jesus has been raised up. These false converts will not sit long under the preaching of any pastor who presses home all the counsel of God with a zeal for the bride of Christ and her Beloved. Sooner or later, they will say, "'This is a hard saying.' This is one hard saying too many. 'Who can hear it?'" And they will be gone.
John 3:22-36 Pastor Ralph Ovadal 46 minutes A sheltered Christian home, a sanctified routine, friends, and a certain dedication to religion is often mistaken as the increase of Christ in one's life. But is Christ increasing and are you decreasing? Or are you simply living a safe, moral, preferred way of life? It is a joyful thing to come to the conclusion that Christ must increase, but I must decrease. It sets a man at liberty to serve the Lord with joy. It brings peace to a man's heart.

And there is no foe more dangerous to the Lord's people than ungodly men who pervert that faith. Such filthy dreamers, as Jude calls them, are ignorant, selfish, ungodly men who rely upon worldliness, lust, and above all, ignorance to advance their cause in the world and as far as they can among the Lord's people.
