I have recently been sent some web links that serve to show further evidence of how Joel Beeke is closely allied with the "Balaams" and "Elymases" of today.
Joel Beeke, once considered a 'fundamentalist', cosied-up to and defended by those within the ranks of Free Presbyterianism both in the UK and USA and by English and American Baptists, is openly in fellowship with rank apostates and Romanisers such as Bishop Prof. Thomas Schirrmacher, PhD, ThD, DD.

A few facts about Bishop Thomas Schirrmacher
Visiting with Pope Francis
According to the Sacred Order of Saint Michael Archangel, of which he is one of the Grand Chaplains, "He is consecrated in Apostolic succession as a bishop of the (Anglican) Communio Christiana, but no longer with a diocese, but in international ministry in intrafaith and interfaith dialogue." (See here) His curriculum vitae, including the various churches he has pastored, is published on his website. It is published in German but can easily be translated by a web browser. He is thoroughly steeped in apostasy and antichristian confusion!
The German newspaper 'Die Welt' calls him one of the three leading experts on religious freedom globally and "Pope Francis' most loved Protestant". (Excerpt from www.thomasschirrmacher.net)
The 'bishop' is evidently close ally of the pope. He is a leading figure in global ecumenism holding senior positions in the World Council of Churches and the World Evangelical Alliance.
In his various positions "he regularly visits Pope Francis, the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and most other top leaders of all religions." (excerpt from www.michaelarchangel.org/officers.html)

His biography published on www.thomasschirrmacher.net states: He is also president of 'Martin Bucer European Theological Seminary and Research Institutes' with campuses in Berlin, Bielefeld, Bonn, Chemnitz, Hamburg, Innsbruck, Istanbul, Izmir, Linz, Munich, Pforzheim, Prague, Sao Paulo (i.e. Brazil, Editor), Tirana, Zurich, where he teaches social ethics and comparative religions.

Grand Rapids, MI / São Paulo, BR — Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary ("PRTS") and Martin Bucer Seminary Brasil ("SMB") have announced a strategic partnership with the establishment of a collaborative Master's and Doctoral Program. This strategic partnership exemplifies the vision of strengthening and sharing resources in the service of the academy and the church.
Martin Bucer Seminary Brasil, founded in 2012, currently grants an online basic course in theology and a Bachelor of Theology (ThB) degree. The basic course in theology numbers around 500 students and the ThB program numbers 150 students. With this new program, students of SMB can complete their studies at SMB and PRTS with an accredited ThM or PhD degree. Founded in 1995, Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary is an accredited educational institution granting MA, MDiv, ThM, and PhD degrees. Its mission is to prepare students worldwide to serve Christ and His church through biblical, Reformed, experiential, and practical ministry. The seminary numbers close to 150 students, has ten professors, twenty world-renowned scholars as adjunct faculty, and a support staff of twelve. Franklin Ferreira, general director of SMB, says, "Our hope in this partnership is that, by God's grace and for His glory, we will contribute to solidify the Reformed faith in Brasil. We hope to be able to foster a new generation of teachers, masters, and pastors who can serve the Reformed and evangelical community in the Portuguese-speaking world. Our main goal is to prepare our students to serve Jesus Christ and His church with biblical, Reformed, evangelical, and practical teaching in various areas of Christian ministry, with profundity and godliness." How dark are the times and how deep is the apostasy and how doggedly stubborn are some of God's people in refusing to recognise the truth, come out against this evil and repent of their having been supportive of Joel Beeke's deception!
