But Still They Adore Him
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" Isaiah 5:20

Donald Trump has nominated Scott Bessent to be the Secretary of the Treasury. Bessent is a "married" sodomite, and the "couple" have two adopted children. Bessent will be the first "gay" Treasury Secretary of the United States of America, but Bessent will not be the first "openly gay" cabinet member in US history. That distinction belongs to Richard Grenell. During his first administration, Mr. Trump nominated Richard Grenell, also a married sodomite, to serve as the Acting Director of National Intelligence! Previously, Trump, in 2017, had nominated Grenell to serve as U.S. Ambassador to Germany. He was subsequently confirmed to that post and served in it until being appointed by Trump to be Director of National Intelligence in February of 2020. He served in that position for the last year of the first Trump administration.
In his first term as President, Mr. Trump successfully nominated other open homosexuals to various positions of power at different levels in the Federal Government. One such appointment was Patrick Bumatay whom Trump successfully nominated to serve as U.S. circuit judge of the U.S. Court of Appeals of the Ninth Circuit. Bumatay is a sodomite "married" to a man who has taken the last name of Bumatay - namely, Alex Bumatay. At the time of the nomination by Trump, the Bumatays had just adopted twin girls.
During his first term as President of our beloved nation, Donald Trump also launched a global campaign against scores of nations around the world which at the time still criminalized "LGBT status or conduct," as one Trump administration official put it. In other words, this campaign was not just about putting pressure on those nations which execute homosexuals. It was the use of the prestige and economic power of the USA to force countries to capitulate to the sodomite agenda. The campaign was headed up by the aforementioned Richard Grenell.
In the month of December, 2022, Trump hosted a gala homosexual wedding at his Mara-Lago beachfront resort. Addressing those assembled, Mr. Trump said, “We are fighting for the gay community, and we are fighting and fighting hard . . . With the help of many of the people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides, the strides you've made here is incredible." Donald Trump has boasted of being the most "pro-gay" President in America's history. All things considered, there is no doubt that for once Trump is not exaggerating.
During his first presidency, Donald Trump had a certain number of very good policies, for instance with regard to the border situation and the horrific practice of sex trafficking. Doubtless, his second administration, as with the first, will also pursue at least a certain number of good, needful policies. But he will also enact bad policy, in some cases evil policy. Beyond that, he is a filthy-mouthed, unrepentant serial fornicator and adulterer who has championed the sodomite cause and who of late has been making disgusting, un-American, alarming statements such as being willing to use military force to take over Greenland. He has also dehumanized and abandoned the unborn, publicly vowing to veto a national ban on abortion if such a bill ever reaches his desk, even though the Federal Government has the responsibility to protect the lives of all Americans, including unborn Americans. Abortion is not a state's rights issue any more than was slavery.
The shameful thing is that large numbers of evangelicals supported Trump in the primaries when they had good alternatives. It is likewise shameful that, in spite of all of the evil Trump has promoted, advanced, and even championed, so many Christians still all but adore the man. They publicly laud him and speak as if he is the savior of our country. Some even cling to the delusion that the man is actually a Christian! To vote for the lesser of two evils is one thing, though that too must have its limits for Christians. To give credit where credit is due is also not inappropriate. But for Christians to openly support and laud Donald Trump even as they ignore the personal and policy evils of the man, this on the basis of certain good things he has done, and will do, can be nothing less than a great offense to our Lord and is a terrible witness of Christianity to a watching, listening, unsaved world.

"Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent,
I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel" Philippians 1:27
