A VICTORY

Today, the Milwaukee Common Council voted eleven to six against a proposal which would extend benefits to the sexual partners of homosexual city employees. Over the past month, Wisconsin Christians United has distributed thousands of flyers (see below) door-to-door urging citizens to put pressure on their city council members to vote against the package which would extract tax dollars from hard-working citizens in order to subsidize immoral, dangerous behavior which the Bible identifies as an abomination. Christian radio in the area also did a good job of raising the issue.

The Common Council also voted to reconsider the package in three weeks.

"The vote today was a gratifying one and a reminder that Christians can still turn back the lavender tide if they are willing to work and pray. We will do just that in the next three weeks with the confidence that today's vote will stand."
