WCU will be anything but silent today.

Today, eight teams organized by Wisconsin Christians United will be on the public sidewalks in front of fifteen public schools in Wisconsin to hand out WCU brochures on homosexuality which include the gospel. In some instances, signs with biblical messages will also be used. A team led by Pastor Ralph Ovadal will visit four different schools over the course of the day. The last school to be visited by his team, Viroqua High School, will also be hosting a "Breaking the Silence Rally and Dance." WCU has provided literature for Christians in other states as well to hand out at public schools.

Each of the schools being ministered at today is listed by the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network as participating in their Day of Silence propaganda effort. Homosexual students, and their allies, in the participating schools take a vow to stay silent for the entire school day to protest supposed bigotry and violence against homosexual people. A number of schools visited by WCU on last year's Day of Silence have opted out of the event this year.
