For the past five years,
Pilgrims Covenant Church has sent a team to minister at several different
Wisconsin schools on GLSEN's Day of Silence. Each year, we have equipped
other teams with our literature to do the same in Wisconsin and other
states. Our efforts have greatly frustrated Sodom's propagandists, greatly
enlightened many students, and greatly discomforted school personnel
presiding over Day of Silence observances. For the first year since Day of
Silence began, GLSEN has not listed the schools in which the Day of
Silence is being observed. From the feedback we have had from students and
school officials, it would seem that our efforts played a big part in the
hesitancy of school officials to have their schools listed on GLSEN's
site.
This year, the PCC ministry
team will be at several Wisconsin schools, including by request at
one, which have hosted Day of Silence in the past. Other teams equipped
with PCC literature will also minister at additional schools in Wisconsin,
Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Nebraska.
"The best, and
only effective, response to those who spread lies to promote evil is to
counterattack with the truth. Once again this year, PCC will do just that,
handing out our biblical literature, holding signs, and interacting
one-on-one with vulnerable students who have been targeted by GLSEN's
propaganda campaign. Our brochures not only contain the plain truth about
homosexuality but a gospel message as well. That's just the combination
needed to turn back New Sodom's disinformation campaign and see young
souls won for Christ." —Ralph Ovadal, pastor, Pilgrims
Covenant Church
