Some Motivation
"And now,
Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants,
that with all boldness they may speak thy word."
Acts 4:29 |
| Dear Friends,
I am sending you an e-mail (edited version)
that we received here last week at Pilgrims Covenant Church. The e-mail
address given is obviously a fictitious one, but the sentiment expressed
is all too real. We receive so many letters, e-mails, and phone calls
of a similar nature that I suppose we have become somewhat desensitized to
such venom. However, it struck me this morning that it might not be a
bad idea to every once in a while pass a greeting like this one on to a
larger audience. In a sense, such threatening harangues are written
to all of us who are taking an open stand for the Word of God. I know that
the brethren who are faithfully contending for biblical truth will only be
strengthened in that cause by the message below. At the same time,
some who are sitting idle in this crucial hour may be provoked by the
enemy's words to put on their armor and get into the battle.
