| Yesterday,
February 23, 2004, a civil lawsuit was filed in Milwaukee County Circuit
Court by Attorney James Donohoo on behalf of Pastor Grant Storms. The
basis of the lawsuit is the defamation of Pastor Storms by Action
Wisconsin, a statewide, homosexual, political/educational organization.
On October 10, 2003, Wisconsin Christians United held an
International Conference on Homo-Fascism in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The
purpose of the event, which brought in a number of speakers from several
countries, was to educate the conference attendees on the growing
intolerance and even legal sanctions in some countries which face citizens
who speak out against homosexual acts and the agenda of those who commit
them. After the conference, Action Wisconsin requested and received from
WCU CD copies of the messages given by those who spoke at the event.
On December 8, 2003, Action Wisconsin issued a press release
comparing WCU's Christian gathering to "a Ku Klux Klan or neo-Nazi
conference" and claimed that it "espoused . . . frenzied,
hysterical hatred." Action Wisconsin also falsely claimed that in his
conference message, Pastor Grant Storms had called for the
"murder" of homosexuals and had actually acted out
"shooting gay people." As a minister of Jesus Christ, Pastor
Storms eschews violence. It is his practice to share the gospel and pray
for homosexuals even as he strongly stands against the sodomite agenda.
Shortly after Action Wisconsin issued their press release and
posted it on their web site, the organization was contacted by WCU
director Ralph Ovadal who requested they retract their statements and
remove them from the Action Wisconsin web site. The request fell on deaf
ears as have subsequent requests, including requests from Attorney James
Donohoo. The malicious and false information continues to be posted for
the whole world to see on Action Wisconsin's web site as of this morning.
"Action Wisconsin has trashed Pastor Grant Storms's
reputation and may have even put his safety in jeopardy. For instance,
since the AW press release was issued, the false information in it has
been used in an attempt to remove Grant from a radio program he hosts; and
it has also shown up, along with his picture, on posters attached to light
posts in New Orleans where he pastors a church. This situation once again
shows the hypocrisy of the homosexual propagandists. They claim that
Christians telling the truth from the Bible cause homosexuals to be put in
danger. Meanwhile, with absolutely no concern for Pastor Storms's safety
or that of his family, a mainstream 'LGBT' organization publicizes the lie
that a he is literally 'advocating the murder' of homosexuals!"
