From July 2 until September 10, Wisconsin Christians United . . .
September 13, 2002
"He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for
all his ways are judgment:
a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he."
Deuteronomy 32:4
Dear Friends,
From April through August, my family was gone from home
for a total of about five weeks on pro-life ministry trips. In May, my
wife and I also spent eight days on a ministry trip to the British Isles. It
has indeed been an action-packed spring and summer for us with the mission
trips, WCU ministry, Mazo, media frenzies, court proceedings, church
ministry, a recent very powerful tent meeting weekend held by my church,
and all the other varied and sundry tasks the Lord lays before us,
including the production of "The
Heart of the Matter" radio program. Mind you, I am not
complaining. Quite the opposite. As one great circuit riding evangelist
once said, while I may grow tired in God's work at times, I never grow
tired of God's work. Those of us who have been redeemed by the blood of
the Lamb without spot or blemish are not only blessed to have become
children of God and inherited eternal life, but we are also blessed to be
called to follow and serve our Lord in this life. May we daily grow closer
to Him and His people and further away from this wretched world. May we
clearly grasp the privilege of expending our strength and our lives in His
holy cause. Heaven will bring a sweet rest and a sure reward for those who
are Christ's. For now, battle is our calling, and work is our duty.
Fall is here, and I want to take some time with this
letter to explain to you the strategy and general goals of Wisconsin
Christians United. I have always believed that the answer to Sodom's lies
is biblical truth and precepts applied to every issue in this and every
other matter. At the same time, it is not unusual for me to receive
criticism from Christians who believe WCU does not emphasize sharing the
gospel enough. Of course, these individuals do not seem to understand that
we do preach the gospel during our ministry work and, in fact, distribute
thousands of gospel tracts every month with WCU literature. Beyond that,
those Christians are perhaps a bit ignorant of the fact that God calls us
to do more than share the gospel. He also calls us to reprove, to
confront, to define, to disciple, to protect, to resist, to warn, and to
teach.
Furthermore, most American Christians, influenced by
current cultural norms and compromised by one-sided compassion, seem to be
quite ignorant of the true nature of the sodomite nation in our midst and
what is at stake in this struggle. If the heirs of Sodom gain control of
this nation - and they are rapidly approaching that goal - we will
eventually see a tide of perversion, tyranny, and brutality which will
equal anything ever seen in the history of mankind. I have talked about
this in the past in many venues, and I will continue to warn of it in the
future. My warnings are not those of a wild-eyed reactionary but rather
are solidly grounded in the Word of God, documented by history, and
confirmed by research and observation. The brutality, filth, and tyranny
of Lot's Sodom was not an aberration; it is the norm of a culture
controlled by sodomites. That is why even today sado-masochism, bondage,
and master/slave play are wildly popular and widely practiced among
homosexuals all over the world. The unchanging nature of Sodom is why
sodomite guards in Hitler's concentration camps raped Jewish boys under
their control, such as Stephen Ross, a man I interviewed on my radio
program several years ago. Of course, Mr. Ross was fortunate that he was
not also murdered by sodomite guards such as the infamous Ludwig Tiene.
Sexual perversion and brutality are all but synonymous with homosexual
activity. Today many wealthy sodomite men travel to Asia to rent little
boys as their toys for a weekend; and even the publicly distributed,
"mainstream" sodomite newspapers contain ads for videos bearing
such titles as "Dahmer," "Boys in the Crib," and
"Branded." All across America, "gay bars" hold
"Daddy Boy" contests. All across the world, sodomites and
lesbians are moving into positions where they have the power of civil law
to harass and punish their enemies. Others are moving into careers where
they have access to little children. For instance, in the ANC-controlled
South Africa, 40,000 of the 360,000 government school teachers now are
HIV-positive. It is that cruel, devil-controlled sodomite nature which
explains why English sodomites recently roughed up a 70 year-old preacher
and had him arrested simply for holding a sign with a biblical message
about sodomy. The same nature is why American sodomites level vicious
threats against American ministries such as WCU and why Canadian
homosexuals openly advertise for underage "partners" while at
the same time successfully bringing Human Rights charges against
Christians who openly stand for God's Word in the face of a vicious
sodomite attack upon it.
The nature of Sodom has not changed one iota; it has
only been willfully suppressed by its possessors where necessary for
pragmatic purposes. Sodomites need a new nature; they need to repent and
become new creatures in Christ. That should be our prayer for all
homosexuals; but we must also face reality. Jesus plainly stated,
"Strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life,
and few there be that find it." A biblical understanding of man's
nature and the way of salvation, along with what God says in Romans 1:28,
causes us to understand that the vast majority of homosexuals will not
turn to Christ; and - unlike some individuals who are never saved but may
live moral, law-abiding lives - sodomites are not going to be satisfied
until America becomes Sodom revisited with all its lawlessness, horror,
and perversion. They are aggressive, they are relentless, they are cruel,
they are sly, they are recruiting, and their numbers are slowly but surely
growing.
The question then is not what will eventually happen,
but how can that catastrophe be averted? My answer, for what it is worth,
is simple. The Church of Jesus Christ, led by His pastors, must flood this
culture with truth and defend that truth against all who have
"changed the truth of God into a lie." The pastors must attach
their names to uncompromised biblical truth boldly broadcasted in the
public square through various means. God's people must be steeped in truth
and be willing to spread and defend truth to their families, their
neighbors, and to their fellow citizens. God loves truth; God blesses the
promulgation and defense of truth. God defends truthbearers. God will not
bless the efforts of a people who are not willing to base their resistance
to Sodom on His immutable, unchanging truth. The truth is that the Bible
calls homosexual acts filthy, lawless, abominable, and unnatural. God's
Word clearly tells us, such as in 1 Timothy 1:8-11, that such acts must be
outlawed by the civil government. New Sodom is on the march in America
because most Christians, and literally all major "pro-family"
groups, are unwilling to take a stand on the truth that the persons
committing homosexual acts should be discriminated against, they should be
shamed, and they should be punished by the civil government even as the
Church of Jesus Christ also prays for such individuals, warns them of
hell, and shares the gospel with them. That is exactly what God's Word
teaches; and it is the only honorable, righteous stand the Church of Jesus
Christ can take and the only stand God will bless.
Truth is what Wisconsin Christians United is all about.
Truth spread where it will do the most good is the goal of WCU. It is not
my intention to expend WCU's resources and time locked in constant verbal
warfare with the sodomite community - a very tiny segment of our nation -
at their events. Yes, we need to be a prophetic witness at those events;
and yes, we do hope to see homosexuals brought to repentance and salvation
through faith in Jesus Christ; and God will certainly bless our stand at
such events. However, I believe it would be a mistake for us to neglect
the important task of reaching an entire culture, and most of a church,
whose ignorance and apathy has produced a fertile ground for Sodom's
apologists and recruiters. We must also remember that there are now many
vulnerable young people in the government schools who are being wooed by
the sodomites and many who are even involved in the sexual perversion so
esteemed by the sons and daughters of Sodom. With all of this in mind, and
the understanding that politicians, policy makers, judges, policemen, and
Christians (a few of them in the categories listed) live scattered
throughout the neighborhoods of our state, the main focus of WCU is to
publicly disseminate our literature at the government schools, to
businesses, and door-to-door in residential areas. This is a battle which
must be fought street by street. Certainly, as anyone who reads our
newsletters knows, we are always ready, with God's help, to seize other
opportunities to do battle for righteousness against the advances of the
sodomite juggernaut. Yet I still believe that while WCU's literature
distribution to the public is not generally exciting or spectacular on its
face or conducive to ministry fundraising, it is the single most effective
way to turn back the pink tide threatening to drown out everything which
we hold dear, including our Christian liberty.
Our flood of truth about homosexuality, combined with
the many thousands of gospel tracts we insert in those particular WCU
brochures which do not already contain the good news, have and is making a
huge difference in this state. Of that I am confident. I am confident,
first, because I know that God loves truth and God will bless the spread
of uncompromised truth. Second, we have had plenty of evidence in recent
times that our stand for truth has been blessed of God. For instance, when
Representative Mark Pocan introduced two pro-sodomite bills this past
legislative session, WCU responded with a postcard campaign in which
Christians sent 12,500 cards to state assemblymen and 12,500 to state
senators. Pocan's bills were subsequently blown out of the water without
even a hearing in committee. This sort of action, however, is first only a
delaying tactic if the citizens of Wisconsin are not set straight with the
truth about homosexuality; and second, it was preceded by literally
thousands of WCU lit drops around the state for a number of years - lit
drops which set many hearts and minds against the lies of Sodom, thus
creating a safer political climate for those legislators who should do
good because it is good but often do good out of the desire for political
survival. The important thing in the immediate sense is for righteousness
to win out; and I believe WCU's foundation-laying labor has that result.
At a dark time of great confusion regarding homosexuality, law, and God's
Word, it is our goal to flood as much of the state as possible with light.
With all of this in mind, WCU is planning a very
vigorous fall, winter, and spring campaign. We are intending to distribute
literature and salvation tracts in government schools every week. We will
be literature dropping homes and businesses every week as well as doing
prophetic pickets and some special projects. WCU will also stage a number
of three-day Truth Blitzes. The first Truth Blitz is planned for
northwestern Wisconsin November 11-13. Of course, we will continue to
provide thousands of pieces of literature for Christians to lit drop in
other states. I am praying that we will be asked to provide many
Wisconsinites with literature to spread around their portion of the
battlefield. One need not participate in "official" WCU
activities to take a stand for righteousness against the dark lies and
dangerous agenda of Sodom. All that is necessary is to have is a little
courage, a lot of compassion, the ability to walk, and a sound faith in
God's righteousness and His promises. I am so thankful for those of you
who know this and are acting on it.
In closing, I want you to know that recently the Oxford
Annotated Bible, Third Edition, was published with study notes developed
by the sodomite wolf "Pastor" Troy Perry, founder of the
Metropolitan Community Church, a "gay denomination." Speaking of
the new "bible," Perry gloated to his large congregation,
"For the past 33 years, Metropolitan Community Churches have
challenged the Church to re-examine God's Word as it relates to
homosexuality. . . . Together, we have forever changed the face of
Christianity . . . There is no biblical condemnation of homosexuality -
only prohibitions against its misuse . . ." How does this make you, a
follower of Jesus Christ, feel? Do you love the Lord and His Word enough
to defend it and to support those of us who are defending it? It is to
respond to the Troy Perrys of our age that I wrote "What the Bible
Really Says About Homosexuality." Perhaps some of you would like to
flood your area with that brochure. Perhaps others would like to help us
financially cover the cost to print another 50,000 copies of that one
brochure or the needed quantities of other WCU brochures. (By the way, the
many modern bible translations which have come out in recent years have
set the stage for an eventual total rewrite of the Holy Scriptures by the
lawless. I would encourage you to get a copy of the sermon I recently
preached titled "Bible Versions or Bible Perversions?"
I leave off this letter as I began it - with gratitude
to God for all He has done for me and for all of you who work so hard and
give so generously to WCU. I have much for which to be thankful. I am
grateful that my church congregation is made up of faithful men and women
who continue to hammer at Planned Parenthood in Monroe every week and
continue to conduct street evangelism as well as join WCU events. I am
grateful for our church deacon and WCU missionary Mike Foht's faithfulness
in ministry work. Most of all, I am eternally grateful that God has saved
me and redeemed me by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

And the Lion of Judah,

* Distributed WCU lit and salvation tracts
door-to-door in Black River Falls, Viroqua, Mineral Point, Coon
Valley, New Berlin, Thorp, Milwaukee, Neenah, Oshkosh; and Minock,
Illinois.
* Sent free of charge small and large quantities of
WCU literature on request to Christians for distribution in Bay View
and Racine, Wisconsin; Montana; Iowa; California; Pennsylvania; Silvis,
Illinois; and Spokane, Washington. Brochures available from WCU include
the following: "Homosexuality:
The Truth"; "A
Little Discrimination Can Be a Good Thing"; "Is
Someone You Know a Bugger?"; "Do Homosexuals Spend Eternity
in Heaven or Hell?"; "Rape,
Murder, and Homosexuality"; and "What
the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality." WCU is currently very
short of literature and the funds to print more. Pastor Ovadal has also
written a salvation tract titled "An Urgent Plea to Roman
Catholics" which is available through WCU as are Pastor's weekly
sermons on cassette tape.
* Witnessed for truth through the media. Pastor
Ovadal appeared on several Christian radio programs and did a number of
interviews with the secular media as well such as CNN and Wisconsin Public
Radio. Pastor Ovadal's Internet program "The Heart of the
Matter" continues to be used to educate many on homosexuality as well
as numerous other issues. HOM is available at
www.theheartofthematteronline.com or by a tape subscription plan. Recent
HOM programs have included reports on sodomite moves to "set up"
and jail Christians in Florida, Oregon, and Canada simply because those
individuals are resisting Sodom's agenda and standing for righteousness.
HOM is a must for those who desire to keep updated on Christian activists
around the nation and stay abreast of and educated in-depth about crucial
issues.
* Conducted an overpass picket in Madison. WCU
held another "overpass picket" on September 4th. A banner
reading, "Homosexuality is sin," along with signs reading,
"Christ can set you free," were displayed over the Madison
Beltline Highway (18/151).
* Alerted citizens of Wisconsin's Third State Senate
District that senate candidate Timothy Carpenter is a
"proud" sodomite who, as a state representative, has promoted
the homosexual political agenda with zeal and been the sponsor of a number
of pro-sodomite bills. The WCU flyer also documented Carpenter's
participation in last fall's National Gay Lesbian Task Force national
conference held in Milwaukee at which such abominations as
"intergenerational sex" were championed, young people were
taught how to be "drag queens and kings," activists were trained
to challenge laws forbidding public sex and nudity, and an after-hours sex
party was promoted. WCU's efforts were attacked as "hateful" by
some in the press and public but were gratefully acknowledged by many
citizens as bringing to their attention information on Carpenter
heretofore unknown to them. In fact, several callers informed WCU they had
taken down Mr. Carpenter's yard signs after reading the flyer. A number of
people helped with this effort to reprove the unfruitful works of Tim
Carpenter; but Mike Foht, Jim S., and Gene D. were especially zealous
and tenacious in their efforts. In the end, Tim Carpenter won the primary
election over his two opponents. It remains to be seen how he will do in
the general election, given what the public now knows about him. What
counts is that Christians were faithful to their duty to be salt and
light. There is no doubt that God will bless that faithfulness in His
time, in His way. Tim Carpenter and his supporters would do well to take
time out from their victory celebration to read Psalm 2.

* Returned to Mazo Beach three more times! WCU
conducted ministry events at Mazo Beach on July 20, August 24, and
September 7. The July and September events were large, very effective ones
with the latter event held on the first day of the DNR's special hunt for
CWD deer. The August outing was a special mission in which nineteen
hand-picked men from Pilgrims Covenant Church and the Mazo Beach area
slipped into position at the very entrance to the beach at 6:30 AM while
only one old pervert was by the water's edge. That individual was quickly
joined by another, and they disappeared downstream into the bushes. The
men with WCU set up in a skirmish line on the edge of the sand by the
beach entrance with flags and gospel banners fluttering in the breeze. A
preacher stood in front of the line, ready to fire a gospel volley as the
first nudists rounded a corner of the woods across a wide gravel lot after
a one-mile walk to the beach. The first several pairs of
"naturists" were visibly shaken by the sights and sounds which
greeted their senses at the end of their long walk. As the sound of
preaching echoed through the trees, the
desperately-wanting-to-be-naked-and-lewd fled back toward their cars.
Eventually police arrived, and the nudists began venturing onto the beach.
At that point, WCU split into three widely dispersed preaching teams, with
the team by the beach standing behind a screen of trees and brush to
shield them from the nudity on the beach yet enabling them to be heard by
the nudists. Several hours of hymn singing, praying, evangelism, and
preaching then ensued. A highlight of the day was when a very belligerent,
violent beachgoer who assaulted a Christian was overcome with guilt and
stood nodding as the gospel was gently explained to him. The man then took
several gospel tracts, turned around, and headed home leaving the
Christians he had verbally and physically assaulted praying fervently that
he might become their brother in Christ.

A portion of the gospel
gauntlet, September 7th.

From recent conversations with several DNR wardens, it
is clear that DNR officials are becoming weary of babysitting the nudists
and listening to their whining. Thank the Lord for His faithful people who
refuse to quit the fight over Mazo Beach. Your labor and confidence in
God's mercy will be vindicated. It is our hope that Christians around the
nation understand how important this precedence-setting fight is against
the mainstreaming of open nudity on public land.
