WCU's Flood Tide of Truth Continues in March & April
May 7, 2002
"But it is good for
me to draw near to God:
I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may
declare all thy works."
Psalm 73:28
Dear Brethren,
With each passing day, the treachery of the Bush
administration becomes more acutely defined for those with eyes to see,
ears to hear, and discernment to judge. Mr. Bush and his Attorney General
John Ashcroft continue to use the power of the federal government to
advance all manner of evil, including the agenda of New Sodom. I have
documented all of this in depth on "The
Heart of the Matter" radio program ever since the presidential
campaign of 2000. The truth is, George W. Bush has arguably done more to
advance the cause of the devil than any other president this nation has
ever had the misfortune with whom to be afflicted. Certainly if the Church
of Jesus Christ had given Bill Clinton the sort of blind allegiance many
Christians have given Mr. Bush, he would have no doubt outdone his fellow
internationalist. They did not, and he did not. However, in an amazing
display of desperate deception, many Christians continue to judge
unrighteous judgment and cling to the notion that Mr. Bush is their
Christian brother in spite of his open idolatry and syncretism and in
spite of his abominable justification of the wicked (Proverbs 17:15,
Romans 13:1-7). It is past time Christians woke up and put their faith in
God, not man. It is clear that the Lord is not going to allow the Church
of Jesus Christ to shirk her duties. Politicians are not going to roll
back the black tide of evil which has crested and crashed over America
when the vast majority of Christians continue to live like the world,
trust in men, compromise God's eternal precepts, and shun sacrifice and
conflict for the cause of Christ. God will glorify Himself through His
people, or He will do it through judgment and destruction (Isaiah 59); but
He will not do it through compromised political animals mumbling,
"God bless America," for the sake of opinion polls and timid
Christians clinging with sweaty palms to their reputations, worldly ways,
material possessions, and ungodly peace, peace.
What I am saying is this: the enemies of God are
advancing on many fronts. When I say enemies of God, I am not engaging in
hyperbole. The level of degradation and brutality of which many people in
this land are capable is staggering. Most Christians have only seen the
tip of that iceberg. Those of us who minister in the streets, wrestle in
the courts, and monitor the e-mail networks and writings of the enemy know
firsthand the growing intensity and barbarity which now exists in the
hearts and minds of millions of Americans who are given over to
"reprobate mind[s]" (Romans 1:28) and are "past
feeling" (Ephesians 4:19). These truly are children of the devil, and
they will bring about a hell on earth in America if the children of God do
not start trusting Him, praying fervently, and acting boldly on behalf of
His righteous precepts. Jesus did not mince any words in this regard. He
said, "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his
savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing,
but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men. Ye are the light
of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." Our Lord
could not have been more plain. If the church in any age in any nation is
not willing to be salt and light, then that church will be trod under the
foot of men, the enemies of God. There is only one way the forces of hell
will be turned back in this nation; and that is by Christians repenting of
their apathy and worldliness and taking an unapologetic stand for truth
and righteousness in the midst of this depraved generation, all the while
preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Recently, I did some open-air preaching to students on
a college campus. As many young people earnestly listened to the gospel,
several sodomites, male and female, did their best to interfere with the
preaching. This is not unusual. The foot soldiers of New Sodom are the
vanguard of an incredibly perverse, violent culture which will one dark
day come to full fruition if the followers of Jesus Christ do not put on
the full armor of God and publicly stand for His righteousness. Here in
Wisconsin in recent years, the sodomite juggernaut has slowed down
considerably, as even attested to by the comments of Sodom's most
optimistic cheerleaders. I believe that is because there is a righteous,
active, aggressive remnant of Christians in this state whose allegiance is
to the Lord Jesus Christ and that has come to realize there are no
shortcuts to rescue, revival, and reformation. These are the ones who are
praying fervently, giving sacrificially, street preaching, passing out
tracts, holding elected officials accountable, publicly standing against
preborn baby killing, reproving all manner of unfruitful works of
darkness, and yes, standing up to New Sodom in the name of Jesus. God is
blessing this slowly rising tide of righteousness, just as He promises He
will. I am thankful to be able to labor with so many of you, unsung heroes
all, in so many different ways, including through Wisconsin Christians
United, a ministry dedicated to educating the people of Wisconsin with the
truth about homosexuality, sharing the gospel, and one day seeing
homosexual acts recriminalized in our state. May the Lord bless each of
you in this critical hour with an increased devotion to His cause and a
decreased concern for your own comfort.

WCU Campaign on Behalf
of Judge Roy Moore Concludes
On April 17, WCU sent a statement of support signed by
184 pastors from forty-one states to Judge Roy Moore who has been under
siege for his lawful ruling and biblically-based opinion in a child
custody case which featured an open lesbian attempting to gain custody of
several children she had several years ago voluntarily given up to their
father, her former husband. Since that ruling was handed down, a number of
"religious groups and leaders" have excoriated Judge Moore
publicly, in the name of Christ. We also released our statement, complete
with signatures, to the press. Now the media and the public have heard
from the true Church of Jesus Christ! May the Lord use this effort to
greatly encourage Judge Moore and his fellow justices! Back

Town of Madison Yields
On January 7, two Christians with WCU were arrested for
displaying a 16' banner reading "Homosexuality is sin!" on a
pedestrian overpass on Highway 12/18 in the Town of Madison. Mike Foht and
Wes Neill were arrested for standing on the overpass holding the banner up
to the wire cage for motorists on the multi-lane highway below to read.
WCU contacted the American Family Center for Law and Policy for help. AFA
then sent a letter asking the Town of Madison to drop the charges against
Wes and Mike. When that request was refused, AFA's Michael DePrimo filed a
federal lawsuit which resulted in Town of Madison officials capitulating
on April 8. Both charges were dropped as well as the ordinance under which
the arrests were made. On April 10, WCU conducted another overpass picket
on the same site, this time with signs and banners over traffic lanes in
both directions. The Town of Madison police chief sent an officer to stand
by and make sure that we were not harassed or attacked. Praise the Lord
for this victory and for the American Family Center for Law and Policy (www.afa.net
/ phone: 662-680-3886). On April 10, WCU also conducted a well-received,
highly effective overpass picket in the City of Madison. Back

Tammy comes to town,
and WCU is there to greet her.
In March, Congresslesbian Tammy Baldwin conducted a
speaking tour through her district. A
special flyer exposing Tammy Baldwin's immoral, socialist positions
and sharing the gospel was given out at events in Monroe, Baraboo, and
Portage. In Monroe, WCU's Mike Foht shared the gospel with Tammy. Back

Mount Horeb High x 2
On March 18, WCU met students arriving at Mount Horeb
High School. WCU lit and gospel tracts were given to the students,
one-on-one witnessing took place as well as preaching, and a large banner
reading "Homosexuality is sin!" was displayed. The students
heard and read much-needed truth. One girl was so convicted of sin that
she wept (II Corinthians 7:10). Several teachers showed their contempt for
God's eternal truth as did a handful of parents, one by parking her car in
a traffic lane in an attempt to block students from reading WCU's banner.
Later that day, school officials allowed homosexual students to put up a
number of "gay liberation" banners in classroom windows -
banners that stayed up for weeks! That night, a group of MHHS students
visited Pilgrims Covenant Church and graffitied it with paper sodomite flags
before being chased off by a dog belonging to a family who lives in the
church building.
The fascist heart of the sodomite movement was once
more revealed as that series of events led to extensive media coverage
which reached into states beyond Wisconsin and, most encouraging, garnered
some supportive remarks from local police. So, once again what the enemy
meant for harm God used for good. On April 8, WCU went back to Mt. Horeb
and lit dropped every home and business with the WCU brochure "What
the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality." We also surrounded
the school with biblical messages on signs and banners as the students
were getting out for the day. Many one-on-one conversations took place
with the students, and a good number of salvation tracts and WCU lit was
given out. One bus driver made a serious attempt to hit a sign held by a
Christian woman with WCU and several parents attempted to start fights;
but on the reverse side of the coin, two Christian boys came out of the
school and, in front of their peers, thanked WCU for taking a stand for
God's eternal truth! Ironically, after the ministry event, an older,
raging sodomite called me and warned, "Stay away from the kids!"

Lunch at Wisconsin
Dells High School
On March 18, WCU was in the Wisconsin Dells area lit
dropping. At noon we set up our 16' "Homosexuality is sin!"
banner on the public sidewalk facing the large glass windows of the
Wisconsin Dells High School cafeteria. The reaction of students was
immediate and extreme as a large number poured out of the school to hurl
snowballs, fruit, filthy language, and threats at us. School
administration officials at first did little to restrain the students; and
in fact, one official repeatedly screamed at us, "Leave now!"
while threatening to have us arrested. Police arriving on the scene upheld
WCU's free speech rights; so the teacher's next tactic was to chase the
students back into the school building and not allow them to interact with
us. However, several students stood up for their rights and not only spent
time talking to us, but also requested literature to distribute to their
peers. It was obvious that many students were shocked by the violent
reaction of the sodomites and their supporters. It was gratifying to see
those students, in many instances with obvious fear and trembling,
gradually come out of the school and ask for WCU lit and gospel tracts to
pass out. At the same time, the students who were crowded against the long
glass front of the school cafeteria making lewd gestures were slowly
elbowed aside by students giving WCU the thumbs up. When one boy student
taped a pro-homosexual sign on the window, we witnessed a girl reach past
him with great determination and tear it down! One girl yelled to us,
"You guys are awesome; thank you for coming!" Another girl who
took literature to pass out said, "I am so sick of lesbians hitting
on me!" Praise the Lord for the way the Holy Spirit used the presence
of WCU Christians to expose the wickedness and violence which is the heart
of New Sodom and to provoke a number of WDHS students into standing up for
righteousness. Please pray that the seeds sown will bear much fruit and
that many students will repent and call upon the name of the Lord for
salvation now that they have heard the gospel. Back

The Noisy Day of
Silence
On April 10, an organized propaganda campaign took
place in the government schools across America. In order to bring
attention on homosexuals and the supposed persecution which they face,
"gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender" students and their allies
in the relatively small number of participating schools committed to
spending the day in complete silence. Supportive teachers wore rainbow
ribbons in some schools. The adult sodomite groups who actually run this
effort were hoping to use it to exclusively gain the ear of the public
through the media. In many areas, this was not to be, thanks to a
counter-campaign organized by WCU. As they arrived for the Day of Silence,
students in seven states were met by Christians holding signs with
biblical messages and handing out the WCU brochure "What the Bible
Really Says About Homosexuality." Each brochure had a salvation tract
in it as well. In Wisconsin, twelve of the twenty-two participating Day of
Silence high schools were covered by Christians handing out that
literature, holding signs, preaching, and witnessing one-on-one.

Subsequent to April 10, reports have poured into WCU's
office, speaking of young people forever changed by hearing the plain
truth of God's Word. Of course, there are also reports of truth-bearing
Christians being the recipients of the fury of hell. For instance, a team
led by a Milwaukee pastor ran into a buzz saw of hatred and even
violence outside of Pius XI High School in Milwaukee. As teachers looked
on, students cursed, mocked, and even engaged in sexual touching of each
other. Students not only unleashed a torrent of verbal threats against the
Christians, but one elderly Christian man also was physically shoved
around.

Middleton
High School English class. “Wisdom
crieth without; she utter her voice
in the streets” Proverbs 1:20.

A team I led ran into a similar situation at Oregon
High School during a noontime visit when a large mob of students, some
wearing all black and some not wearing much of anything, mocked and
threatened us. They also threw things at us, spit on our signs, and hit
them with sticks. Police on the scene were, shall we say, liberal in what
they allowed the students to do. In spite of that, much truth was shared
with the students from the Scriptures; and it was clear that a number of
the listeners were deeply touched by God's powerful Word. By contrast, the
only trouble my team ran into on our morning ministry at Middleton High
School came from teachers who did their best to convince students to throw
the WCU lit and Bible tracts that we gave them into a waste basket which
one of the teachers brought out to the sidewalk. One teacher also
threatened us with physical violence. Nevertheless, at least six hundred
students accepted our literature, taking it into the school where it no
doubt achieved a very high readership throughout the day. But the best was
yet to come. As we were standing in a circle by our cars praying at the
end of the event, an English teacher approached with his entire class and
asked if I would be interested in a Q and A session. To this, I gladly
acquiesced and for the next twenty minutes spoke with the class on a wide
range of related issues including homosexuality, the role of the Christian
in society, the relationship of God's law to America's founding documents,
and of course most importantly, the only way to achieve right standing
with God and escape eternity in hell. The incident left us marveling at
God's love for the world (John 3:16) and His willingness to use Christians
who are willing to be used! I have no doubt that a number of young hearts
were changed forever on April 10, in schools both in Wisconsin and in six
other states! Much to the dismay of Sodom's strategists, the WCU-organized
outreach also provoked media coverage from coast to coast on radio and in
such newspapers as the San Francisco Chronicle. Back

Another Firebell in the
Night
On April 24, Judge Paul Higginbotham finally handed
down his verdict in the case resulting from my preaching to a lewd woman
on the Mazo Beach parking lot. In a written decision which was
breathtaking in its bias and seething with animus toward me, the Word of
God, and all true Christians, Higginbotham equated me to a gang leader,
ridiculed my biblical beliefs, and even violated rules of evidence! With
contempt dripping from his pen, he wrote of "angry
fundamentalists" and labeled the preaching of the gospel
"truculent." He called our deeply held convictions, including
our opposition to hundreds of nude adults cavorting in front of nude
children, "captious." There is much I could say about this
situation which has outraged Christians across America; but for the sake
of space, I will content myself with simply providing in this mailing a
news release WCU put out and also telling you that my attorney, Jim
Donohoo, is petitioning the court for a new trial with a different judge.
Mr. Donohoo was outraged at Higginbotham's wretched decision, saying it is
the most unethical one he has ever seen. I deeply appreciate Jim Donohoo.
He not only has donated much time to this case; but most importantly, his
heart has also been in it, and he grasps its significance. Were we to
allow Judge Higginbotham's ruling and words to stand unchallenged, we
would be giving consent to a most dangerous form of tyranny. For the sake
of righteousness, the weak and the innocent, Christian liberty, and our
posterity, we must not and we will not do so. In the end, this too will be
used by the Lord for His purposes. Please contact Governor Scott McCallum
and tell him to do his duty and shut down the nudity on the state-run
beach at Mazomanie. Tell him to forget about giving you that tired song
and dance routine about public nudity not being unlawful in and of itself.
Let him know that you will not be blackmailed into voting for him as the
lesser of evils if he does not put an end to the wretched, dangerous, evil
situation on the Mazo Beach. With McCallum in a close race, now is the
time to appeal to him to do the right thing. And keep praying (Luke
18:1-8)!

we are still collecting information for it.

WCU's Flood Tide of
Truth Continues in March & April
• I was blessed to do
dozens of radio, television, and newspaper interviews in the last few
months and to appear as a guest on a number of talk radio programs, both
secular and Christian.
• WCU residential lit
drops took place in the following towns: LaCrosse, Reedsburg, Wisconsin
Dells, Lake Delton, Monroe, Mount Horeb, Spring Green, Delavan, Wauwatosa,
Madison, Dodgeville; and Warsaw, Indiana. At several of the towns listed,
WCU also conducted prophetic pickets at busy intersections in the towns
lit dropped. At one such picket, a Christian police officer called to the
scene could barely contain his delight with seeing Christians displaying
signs reading "Homosexuality is sin" and "Christ can set
you free." The officer requested copies of WCU lit to give his
sergeant saying, "He really needs it!" Response to WCU pickets
in smaller towns has become overwhelmingly positive while in larger cities
it is usually about half good and half bad. One thing has become obvious
over the last decade of WCU ministry - the more truth that is publicly
shared about homosexuality and the more Christians who publicly stand up
for that truth, the more New Sodom's support base is eroded.
• Individual Christians
lit dropped WCU brochures in the following towns: Waukesha, Muskego,
Wisconsin Rapids, New Berlin, Green Bay area; Tombstone, Arizona; and
Standford, Kentucky.
• A Christian missionary continues to conduct monthly lit drops for WCU in Oshkosh
and Appleton, lit dropping the same 1,200 homes every month with a
different WCU brochure. Once he has dropped the homes with all six of our
brochures, he begins another cycle with 1,200 new homes.
• WCU lit was sent on
request to individuals from Colfax, Waukesha, Wisconsin Rapids, and to
pastors in New York state and the Philippines.
• WCU lit was sent to a
religion class teacher of a West Bend church who passed it out to
students.
• Literature was
distributed on the Beloit College campus by WCU.
• WCU lit and salvation
tracts were handed out at twenty schools in seven states during the recent
sodomite "Day of Silence" event on April 10.
• Christians handed out
WCU literature to students at West Allis High School on April 26 and
during WCU events at Mount Horeb and Wisconsin Dells High Schools on March
18.
• WCU literature was
handed out at Representative Tammy Baldwin speaking engagements in three
cities.
• During the months of
March and April, WCU distributed 20,000 copies of our "What
the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" - 20,000 of just that
one brochure! Thousands of copies of our other brochures and some special
literature was also distributed during that time as well as 17,500
salvation tracts! Thank you to those who made this possible. The more
financial support WCU gets, the more truth the state will get! All gifts
to WCU go directly into literature and the cost of conducting ministry
outreach. WCU has no paid employees, and we strive to keep our overhead at
a bare minimum so that every hard-earned dollar donated goes as far as
possible on behalf of righteousness and the cause of Christ.
