Publicly proclaiming and spreading truth is like throwing a rock
into a pond. The truth initially shared continues to ripple out into ever
widening circles. Every time WCU literature is distributed in a city,
immutable truth also ends up being aired in a multiplicity of other ways.
Consider this one example. After local Christians in Omaha,
Nebraska lit dropped homes in neighborhoods of that city, a
sixteen-year-old, atheist girl called WCU to scream her hatred of
Christians at me. In the course of time, and only by God's grace, I was
able to calm her down and answer many questions on a wide variety of
issues including government, morality, law, and evolution. I also shared
the gospel in depth with her. In the end, the girl gave me her address so
that I could send her the video "Incredible Creatures That Defy
Evolution" as well as a book and a gospel tract. The young lady
actually thanked me for talking with her, promised to gather her atheist
friends together to watch the video, and then call me back to talk again!
All of this took place because some Christians took to the streets with
WCU literature. In one stroke, Sodom's agenda received a great setback,
many people were exposed to the gospel, and a lost young woman has
softened her heart and had her mind filled with the truth which sets men
free from the grip of sin and Satan!
This past month, we also had a letter from a young man in Superior,
Wisconsin. He informed us that ever since WCU did ministry at his school
last November, a debate has raged on homosexuality through student letters
in the school newspaper. He and other students are standing for truth,
armed with WCU's brochures!
"A few months ago, you lit dropped Superior Senior High
School. Good literature. You can probably guess that I am a conservative
Christian. You should see what God has used your literature for in our
high school. . . . For His glory . . ."
A similar situation has also taken place on the campus of the
University of Wisconsin - Superior where a lesbian faculty member has been
screeching since November about "hate speech." It is a great
time of year to get some exercise and strike a decisive blow for
righteousness. Let me know if you could use some WCU lit to distribute in
your area. Back to top.
WCU Truth Blitzes in February
and March
SHEBOYGAN
On February 17, businesses, churches, and 5,000 homes in Sheboygan,
Wisconsin were lit dropped with WCU literature. A rush-hour prophetic
picket was also staged. The event caused a real stir and a far-reaching
discussion on homosexuality to erupt. It also supplied WCU's office staff
with the opportunity to refute Sodom's lies and share the gospel with many
callers and e-mailers. As usual, each brochure lit dropped contained the
gospel of Jesus Christ; and the gospel was verbally shared on the street
to a number of people during the picket, including a lesbian couple and a
small group of counter protesters. In other words, thousands of people in
Sheboygan not only heard the truth about homosexuality but also heard the
most important truth of all, the gospel of Jesus Christ!
RACINE
Thousands of homes, businesses, and a number of churches were lit
dropped. The gospel was preached via a "truth horn" during a
rush-hour prophetic picket. At one point, a group of young people on a
government school bus sitting at the stop lights cried out in unison to
the WCU Christians, "I believe the gospel!" Many Racine
residents responded favorably to WCU, including the crew of a landscape
company which took a sodomite to task for cursing WCU Christians during
the picket. The police were very professional and friendly.
WEST BEND
The blitz in West Bend began at the local high school with
Christians handing out the brochure "What
the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" and holding signs.
School officials unsuccessfully tried to remove WCU, with one teacher
telling the students, "Unfortunately, they have the right to do what
they are doing." One lesbian student struggled to tear literature out
of the hand of a Christian lady distributing it. The incident turned into
a great opportunity to share the gospel with the lesbian and a number of
her friends.
Later in the day, an individual who must remain anonymous informed
Pastor Ralph Ovadal that the whole school was talking about the content of
WCU's literature the rest of the day! Thousands of homes and the churches
in West Bend were also lit dropped with the newly revised brochure "Homosexuality:
The Truth." During a WCU prophetic picket, the police tried to
enforce a number of unconstitutional demands and threatened arrests. In
the end, they backed down and even declined to interfere with our
preaching with amplification. During the contest with the police, a local
Christian man doing street ministry for the first time offered to be
arrested if necessary, stating that he was ready to go to jail for the
cause of Christ. What an encouragement!

Montana Seminar
On the weekend of March 28-31, Pastor Ralph Ovadal was in Great
Falls, Montana to preach, teach, and do a little ministry work with the
local people. On Friday evening, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, Pastor
presented four, one-hour comprehensive teachings, including practical
ministry instruction, during a well-attended seminar called Answering
Sodom. Following each session was a time of Q & A. Many attendees of
the seminar said that they had never heard the information which was
presented and seemed greatly moved by the necessity to respond to Sodom's
onslaught.
Several pastors attended the conference, including one ELCA
Lutheran who was greatly stirred and encouraged by the seminars. The
pastor, who is part of a confessing movement which is fighting the forces
of Sodom within his church, lives one-hundred miles away but
providentially happened to be in town the weekend of the seminar and
showed up Friday night out of curiosity. He then rearranged his schedule
to attend the next day as well, taking many notes as well as copies of all
of WCU's brochures. This one man, who seemed to have the zeal of Martin
Luther, has influence with many hundreds of other ELCA pastors who are
getting ever closer to splitting with the apostate ELCA! Another pastor at
the seminar came to the conclusion that it is time he took his young men
into the streets to share the gospel!
Pastor Ovadal also preached in a local church on Sunday and
picketed with the local remnant of Christians at a Planned Parenthood
clinic on Friday afternoon. May the Lord bless and keep the Jonathan
Martin family who worked hard to make the Answering Sodom seminar a
powerful time of teaching and fellowship. Pastor Ovadal is available for a
seminar in your community. The only cost is transportation, lodging, and
food.
"Ralph gave us generous doses of God's 'unvarnished' truth and
did much to prepare us for the battle ahead. Several men who attended
were deeply touched by the seminar; and I received comments about how
the Holy Spirit had used the seminar to convict them of the need to
become involved. Between 40 and 50 saints took [part] in all or part of
the seminar. We want to sincerely and enthusiastically thank Pastor
Ovadal for coming. It would be great if this could be the first of many
such training events." Jonathan Martin

New WCU Ministry
Beginning in May, WCU will hold a pro-life picket in southwestern
Wisconsin on the second Saturday of every month. Each month, we will visit
a different city. The territory in which we will minister is roughly
bounded by Highway 18/151 and I-90/94, although we will also visit cities
such as Portage and Wisconsin Dells which are close to the boundaries. Our
plan is to do a noontime picket along a busy street. In addition to
holding signs, we will give out literature and preach. If enough
Christians are interested, we will also include one other ministry event
on the same day. Call WCU for more information on this new ministry. Back

A Missionary Worthy of Support
Please pray for missionary Mike Foht and his family. Mike works one
day as a painter, spends one day working at home, and the rest of the time
in ministry under my leadership. If you are looking to support a home
missionary, I highly recommend Mike. He works hard in ministry and is
under a very high standard of accountability through our church. It is our
policy that persons in ministry must work at least as hard and long as
those supporting them. Mike is committed and has held to that standard. He
is the sort of man this nation desperately needs in the field, fighting
the good fight of faith for God's kingdom and His righteousness. —Pastor
Ovadal

And they want to control your country!
"To whomever may receive this message: read it, and make sure
to deliver it to your precious Ovadal. To the heartless, cold members of
Wisconsin Christians United: I simply cannot believe you people. The
ignorance and intolerance that is visibly apparent in everything you do is
appalling. . . . You cling to a document thousands of years old as a
channel for your hatred. . . . You are the fascists here. You are trying
to impose your twisted view of Christianity on the world. . . . It is
imperative that you stop this foolish crusade. . . . I find Pastor, What's
his name? Ah yes, the WCU `II Duce,' `Herr Fuhrer,' and overall Master of
Intolerance, Ralph Ovadal's comments purely despicable. . . . You and your
followers are blinded by your hatred of people doing things that you do
not appreciate or condone. . . . O Truth, glorious truth, please shine thy
understanding light upon this villain Ovadal's wayward soul . . . Preach
tolerance, Ovadal! Tolerance! . . . Someone else thought this way; his
name was Adolf Hitler. . . . Do you know why the Church is silent? I do.
The Church is silent because it does not want to become involved with a
maniac such as yourself. . . . I pity you, Ovadal. I have great pity for
your followers as well, who have been taken up in your hatred. You must
convert yourself, before attempting to convert others. Stop this madness,
and stop your flood of filthy propaganda. I assure you, this can only end
in tears. . . . End it now, for their sake and especially yours."

and the Lord do that which seemeth him good."

The
following is a letter that was sent to Wisconsin state
representatives and senators, along with "Homosexuality: The Truth"
and "What the Bible Really Says About
Homosexuality."
March 5, 2003
Dear Representative (or Senator) _________________ ,
I have taken the liberty of sending you two of six different brochures
which WCU uses for literature drops that we do in different towns around
Wisconsin every week. I hope the information in these brochures will be of
some help to you and will be an incentive for you to take a strong stand
for the precepts which made our state and our nation great.
I know that there is great pressure on you to acquiesce to the homosexual
agenda. I would urge you to stand strongly against any "pro-gay"
legislation which is introduced. In so doing, you will earn the gratitude
of the majority of Wisconsinites who are greatly concerned with the
degradation of morality and the coarsening of our society which has taken
place in recent decades.
To do what is right will no doubt bring charges of "homophobia"
and "hate monger" your way, but far better to be maligned by
immoral men and blessed by God than to avoid the anger of those same men
and incur the wrath of that Holy Judge.
May the Lord give you wisdom and courage to do what is right in the days
ahead. Sincerely, Pastor Ralph Ovadal
Director, Wisconsin Christians United
