Words of Encouragement
November 5, 2003
"For
precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept;
line upon line, line
upon line; here a little, and there a little"
Isaiah 28:10
Dear Friends,
Recently, a Christian
mother was told by a judge in a custody case in Colorado that when she has
her own child in her own home, she must "make sure that there is
nothing in the religious upbringing or teaching that the minor child is
exposed to that can be considered homophobic."
The lady's husband has left
her for a life of sodomy with other "men." I could detail many
other graphic examples of a growing homo-fascist movement in our nation.
If you have access to the Internet, check out the Homo-Fascist Watch on
our web site (www.wcuweb.com). By the way, WCU's website has had a big
impact around the world. For instance, here is a note we recently received
from France:
Sir, I congratulate you,
your organization and your website, which I use regularly as a
reference. Greetings from France.
If ever there was a need
for the work of WCU, it is now. We are unique in that we counter the lies
of the sodomites by taking the truth about homosexuality, and the gospel,
directly to the people of our state and nation. This, we believe, has had
a profound effect even with regard to state politics in recent years.
Every week, we are literature dropping homes, churches, businesses, and
often high schools somewhere in our state. Every week, we also send out
large amounts of literature to individuals for distribution around our
state and nation as well as in other nations. The truth we disseminate has
set many free from false presuppositions about homosexuality, and we trust
the gospel message in our tracts has put the feet of some on the path to
heaven.
Here is an excerpt from a
letter we recently received from the nation of Holland:
Quite some time ago I
received several brochures of WCU for which I want to thank you. . . .
To make a long story short, in my heart the Lord showed me [through
the brochures] that it's not right that openly homosexuals can have
it their way in getting the law on their side. . . . People have the
right and I as a Christian see the duty we have to obtain a possibility
to discriminate [against] those who are engaged in filthy practices . .
. I myself was quite ignorant about what can go on in this lifestyle. .
. . It sure is that 'A little discrimination can be a good thing.' . . .
God bless you in all you do.
As I have stressed so many
times in the past, the sodomite offensive must be met head on with truth.
Subterfuge, craftiness, psychological nuances, political gamesmanship, and
apologetic compromises will only strengthen Sodom's hand. We must trust
that the Lord will bless the bold proclamation and defense of biblical
truth in the face of the sodomites' Bible-perverting, liberty-eroding,
child-endangering campaign.
The most critical person in
our ranks is the pastor. Unfortunately, while the sodomites seem to have
an unending supply of wolves willing to publicly pervert God's Word on
behalf of perverts, the Lord seems to be quite short on true shepherds who
are willing to publicly sign their names, or even their churches' names,
to God's truth. Thus, the nation is discipled by a pack of howling wolves.
This is a spiritual disaster for our nation and the cause of Jesus Christ.
It is an enigma to me. I do not understand why pastors would not want to
defend God's Word and their Savior against the disciples of Satan who
daily vandalize it and mock Him. The sodomites have launched a full-scale
attack upon the Bible, but so many Bible believers remain silent.
I am thankful for those
pastors, such as Bobbie Minor, who have taken a stand for the Word of God.
Pastor Minor recently ran a large ad in several newspapers. The ad stated
the biblical truth about homosexuality. Rather than being encouraged and
supported by other Bible-believing pastors in his area, he was attacked by
some of them! Guilt and a standard of accountability can sometimes produce
such reactions from pastors. At the same time, the Lord openly blessed
Pastor Minor's defense of His Word, and we are confident that He blessed
it in many unseen ways as well.
I know pastors are busy; so
perhaps some of you could help out yours by organizing a church literature
drop in your city this winter or perhaps help fund the purchase of some
space in a newspaper, such as Pastor Minor purchased. WCU would be happy
to give permission for your church to print all or portions of our
literature in space purchased in your local newspaper.
Then, of course, there is
the golden opportunity presented by Operation
Saturation which is gathering steam and promises to have a profound
effect when it is unleashed in January. By way of review, we are asking
individuals to pick an area where they would like rural residents to
receive a mailing containing several WCU brochures. We will provide the
labor, the brochures, and the envelopes to make the mailing. We are asking
participants to simply name the area and provide a gift to cover the bulk
mailing cost of $.15 per address. It is our hope to mail our literature to
100,000 rural Wisconsin families in January. As pointed out in the past,
we are literature dropping towns and cities, but such activity is not
feasible in the country. Operation
Saturation will reach some of the most conservative citizens of our
state and equip them with the truth that they need to assume a right
position on homosexuality. Please pray for this challenging,
labor-intensive project; and please consider providing a special gift for
it. Remember that even a modest gift from you will put WCU's literature
into the hands of hundreds or thousands of families, some of
whom will pass it on to others in their circles. So your gift could put
badly needed truth, including the gospel, into the hands of a large number
of Wisconsin citizens. I pray many will have the faith to get involved in
this great seed sowing venture.
I hope you will take the
time to read the WCU report which follows this letter and be encouraged by
it. The sodomites' Achilles' heel is their utter lack of fear of God and
their utter helplessness in the face of truth preached by God's people. In
His good time, the Lord will visit the sodomite community with a just
recompense for their arrogance in the first case. Meanwhile, the Lord's
people must press His standard of truth forward with full confidence that
the One who is "the truth" will richly bless our efforts.

WCU International
Conference on Homo-Fascism a Big Success
According to those who attended WCU's
long-awaited Conference on Homo-Fascism, October 9-10, it was a huge
success and a very worthwhile time, especially considering it was a
first-time event. The good-sized crowd included at least nine pastors, a
number of church elders, one police officer, a county board supervisor,
one state senator, the national field director of a political party, and a
number of ministry leaders. The event obviously rattled some sodomites'
cages as evidenced by the claim of one "gay" columnist in the Wisconsin
Light that only fifteen people attended it! Those who did attend were
thoroughly instructed on the history, advance, and current threats of
homo-fascism in four different countries. At the same time, reports were
given concerning recent victories over that movement. Conference attendees
also received practical advice on how to contend for truth and liberty
against Sodom's assaults. Last, but not least, they also received a good
dose of preaching and had access to books, tapes, and literature to equip
themselves for the fight. Many individuals picked up quantities of WCU
literature at the conference with the intent of distributing it in their
neighborhoods. Many also appreciated the call for Christians to pray daily
that the Lord would intervene against the forces of New Sodom and that He
might also be pleased to bring those sodomites who are not reprobate to
repentance and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Back

Pastor Teaches in
Government School!
On September 23, I was given an entire
class hour in a Wisconsin high school (which shall remain nameless) to
present arguments against "same-sex marriage" to the students.
There were no restrictions put on my talk, which included questions and
answers at its conclusion. For fifty minutes, I spoke on God's law and the
common law as well as our nation's foundational documents. I dealt with
Darwinism. I talked about the increase in diseases in our country as well
as the record storms, fires, and droughts, after which I related that
situation to what the Scriptures say about God's judgment on nations which
turn their backs on His law. I preached on what the Bible says about
homosexual acts, and I shared the gospel.
When it was all over, it seemed like a
dream. But it was not a dream; it was the Lord showing mercy to a large
group of young people while at the same time confirming to us that He will
give us opportunities to contend for His Word everywhere if we are willing
to do so without compromise or shame! This was the second time in six
months that I have been invited into a school to give my
"opinions" on a divisive "issue." When the Lord wants
a people to hear His Word, the only limiting factor is preachers willing
to preach. "How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?" (Romans 10:14).

What? Me? Fear God?
Tammy hears the gospel again.
|
On September 20, WCU set up signs and
banners in front of the Best Western Inn on Madison's Capitol Square. The
Best Western was the host site for the Midwest Regional Conference of
Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays. We handed out the brochure
"What
the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality." We also preached and
did one-on-one ministry.

A number of guests in the hotel were
upset that a convention of sodomites was being held there. Early in the
morning, Congresslesbian Tammy Baldwin came around the corner of the
hotel, heading for the entrance, and walked right into our waiting
arms--or rather, waiting message. Once again, as I have done numerous
times over the past years, I called upon Tammy to repent, and I shared the
gospel with her.

|
We also had good conversations with a number of parents
of sodomite children. In several cases, the individuals softened
considerably and even took our literature with a promise to read it. The
husband of the head of a P-FLAG chapter was one such individual, although
I am glad his wife was not armed at the time.

Using the sword of the Spirit.
|
We also were able to witness
to an older Roman Catholic man and his son. The father stubbornly, but
ineffectively, defended the heresies of Rome; but his grown son was
greatly affected by the biblical refutation of that church's grievous
errors. We witnessed to a large number of passers-by, including two young
men who related that just the evening before, several sodomites had laid
lecherous hands on them in a restroom, forcing them to defend themselves.
A crowning moment of our ministry outing came when one of our number
witnessed to a young man living in dissipation. The convicted sinner ended
up praying with our brother and eagerly accepted a Bible from him!

The only problem that we had with police
at this ministry outreach was an officer who threatened to make arrests if
individuals felt "offended" or "intimidated" by our
witness. We countered with the usual legal arguments, and everything
finished up just fine. Back

Sowing More Seed
at the Farmers Market
WCU again set up gospel banners and
preached at the farmers market in Madison on September 20 after the
ministry explained above and again on October 11. Each time, we gave out
thousands of gospel tracts, had scores of one-on-one opportunities, and
preached the gospel for hours unhindered except for occasional jeering.

|
At the October 11 outing, the police
claimed we had to have a permit to give out gospel tracts on the public
sidewalk! After arguing the Constitution to no avail, we explained our
scriptural mandate and license to spread the gospel in such a setting.
When that failed, we told them to put the cuffs on because we would not
cease to speak the things which we have seen and heard (Acts 4:20). I
cannot give you all the details of what then followed because I do not
want to unnecessarily jeopardize the jobs of any police officers. I can
tell you that a police officer prayed with me, beginning his prayer with
"O Lord, these people need to hear the gospel that my brother is
preaching." I will not tell whether that officer was from the City of
Madison or with the Capitol Police. Suffice it to say, the threats against
us ceased. God certainly can and does put His servants wherever He
chooses. God used the confrontation for great good, giving us
opportunities to speak with the police of God-delegated jurisdiction and
other crucial matters. In the end, Mike Foht even read out of the Bible to
a willing officer who initially had displayed contempt for us.
During our October 11 ministry at the
farmers market, several people prayed with a number of us after hearing
the preaching and being witnessed to one-on-one. One middle-aged lady who
admitted to living the life of a God-hating feminist confessed her sins
and put her faith in Christ! Back

WCU Testifies at
Legislative Hearing
On October 28, I and a number of other
Christians, mobilized at the last minute, testified at a legislative
committee hearing in favor of AB 574. I say last minute because, for all
intents and purposes, the meeting was kept secret with our hearing about
it just the night before! AB 574 would mandate a fine for anyone appearing
nude on state-owned property. This bill, if passed into law, would not
affect state statute 944.20 which makes it a crime to be nude in public
anywhere in Wisconsin. Unfortunately, the Dane County D.A. and the
Department of Natural Resources have "reinterpreted" that
statute for the benefit of the nudists who have taken over the DNR beach
on the Wisconsin River near Mazomanie. Should AB 574 become law, a
situation will be created much like what now exists with disorderly
conduct statutes. Law enforcement will have the option of charging
violators with a criminal offense or citing them with a hefty monetary
forfeiture. In other words, the Dane County D.A. will not be a factor in
the case of the Mazo nudists, and the DNR will not be able to hide behind
him any longer.
At the hearing, in addition to
testifying, I supplied members of the legislative committee with a packet
including pictures of children being taken to the nude beach and also a
DNR confidential map showing where sexual encounters take place at that
beach. Among other things during my testimony, I warned legislators that
the day will come, as it has with the Roman Catholic Church, when a
grown-up will testify of the sexual abuse he or she endured as a child as
a result of the State of Wisconsin funding and maintaining a haven for
perverts and pedophiles. Several days after the hearing, Mike Foht
hand-delivered a letter from me and packets to a number of state
legislators. WCU has also been encouraging Christians to call their state
assemblymen and senators to urge them to pass AB 574 into law. Back
to top.
A round two
decision for the State, but the fight is not over yet.
The Third District State Circuit Court
of Appeals has sided with the nudists and turned down my appeal of a
conviction for preaching the whole counsel of God's Word to a lewd,
mocking woman on the Mazo Beach parking lot. We are now going to petition
the State Supreme Court to hear the case. If we lose there, I will look at
getting the case into the federal court system. This is a key, First
Amendment case; and we have no intention of abandoning the right of a
pastor to biblically rebuke a woman heading to a beach to expose herself
to men and children. This is the case that never should have been; and it
is my prayer that, before it is over, the State of Wisconsin will be
wishing the case had never been. My attorney, Jim Donohoo, has been
supplying his considerable skill and valuable services for free in this
defense of our Christian duty and American birthright to preach the Word
of God. For that we are very grateful. Please pray that the State Supreme
Court will take this very important case and decide for Christian liberty.

City of Madison
Headed for Federal Court
The City of Madison has banned WCU from
holding signs and banners on pedestrian overpasses in Madison. These are
very safe pickets inside caged-in walkways over busy highways. They are no
doubt as safe as a picket can be, given the picketers cannot be hit by
cars and a driver does not have to take his eyes off of the road to read
the signs. We have been told that our banners are "distracting"
to drivers; yet the highway we picket on is plastered with huge,
provocative billboards, including a sprawled out woman in a Hooters
advertisement right by one of the walkways from which we have been banned.
One could almost get suspicious that the message "Homosexuality is
sin" and "Christ can set you fee" is the issue. At any
rate, since the City has refused to speak with us further on this matter,
other than to threaten us with arrest and jail, we will now be heading
into federal court to recover our lost right to share a message to
thousands whom the devil wants to keep in the dark. Back

Pickets
WCU pickets dealing with homosexuality
were held in Sparta, Madison, Delavan, McFarland, and Lodi, Wisconsin; and
Galena, Illinois. A WCU pro-life picket was held in Waunakee. After that
picket, a Waunakee police officer called me as a "courtesy" to
let me know his department had requested that the district attorney charge
me with state disorderly conduct for showing "the images" of
murdered preborn babies. I informed him, as a courtesy, that the charges
would go nowhere; but these days, one never knows.
At the Lodi picket, a sodomite grabbed
WCU's sixteen-foot banner and tried to run away with it. His downfall was
a tenacious Mike Foht hanging on to the banner with one hand and video
taping with the other. Mike was dragged into the street, but the sodomite
eventually gave up and ran away. Police who arrived on the scene then
threatened Mike and Co. with arrest if they did not leave! I got involved
by phone in the negotiations which ended with the City backing down.
During a picket in Galena, Illinois, a
woman spray painted WCU's sixteen-foot banner in front of the police! As
of the writing of this newsletter, no charges have been made in that
incident either. Increasingly, the sodomites and their friends are not
held accountable by law enforcement for crimes against
"homophobes."
On a happy note, the pickets spoken of
provided numerous opportunities for WCU to share truth with individuals
who were drawn by the signs and banners. Back

High School
Outreaches
WCU handed out "What
the Bible Really Says About Homosexuality" and "Homosexuality:
The Truth" to high school students in Sparta, Evansville,
Janesville, McFarland, New Glarus, and Darlington. These ministry
outreaches resulted in thousands of WCU brochures being introduced into
the schools involved and also provided WCU with great opportunities to
share the Word of God in one-on-one conversations with the students. Back

Witnessing for
Truth Through the Media
During this reporting period, I did a
number of media interviews on radio and with newspapers, including several
college publications. I also was a guest on a number of radio talk
programs, both Christian and secular, around the nation in such states as
Washington, Michigan, and Louisiana. Back

WCU Literature
Drops
WCU lit dropped homes in the following
cities during this reporting period: Delavan, Westby, Coon Valley, Lodi,
Sparta, McFarland, Belleville, Monroe, Fitchburg, Cottage Grove, Gratiot,
Shullsburg, and Benton, Wisconsin; and Galena, Illinois.
WCU supplied literature which was
distributed to citizens and, in one case, city officials, in the following
cities: Evansville, Oak Creek, Milwaukee, Elroy, Wisconsin Rapids, Little
Suamico, Viroqua, Hartford, Wauwatosa, and Sheboygan, Wisconsin; Anza,
California; Morris, Illinois; Omaha, Nebraska; Crown Point, New York;
Pottstown and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Lynchburg and Petersburg,
Virginia; Duchesne, Utah.
During a recent "gay lobby
day" at the state capitol, WCU countered by distributing our
brochures to legislators. Back

Words of
Encouragement
*
"You people are right (I believe) in your attempt to stop the
homosexual agenda. It has been my experience, in my 57 years, that the
homosexuals are a predatory bunch that seeks to perpetuate more of their
own kind. If this very small group in this country can get to our children
and grandchildren, they will have a heyday. . . . That type of behavior
will only rot this society away if it gets any more momentum. Pray for
those people, don't hate them. God's will is going to prevail. Keep up the
good Christian work."
—South Nevada
* "I
would like more information about what God says in the Bible regarding
homosexuality. I have read your literature in the past, and have found it
to be very educational and helpful in dealing with homosexual students at
my high school. If you could please send me any pamphlets or suggested
readings you have available, it would be greatly appreciated. Multiple
copies of handouts would also be helpful so that I may share them with
others. . . . I thank you for your help in this; may the Lord continue to
bless you and your ministry."
