What the Bible Really Says about Homosexuality

Homosexuality: The Truth

WCU Action Update
September 22—November 30, 2001

"For every one that doeth evil hateth the light . . .
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light . . ."
John 3:20-21

Pickets were held in: Whitewater, Monroe (Representative Tammy Baldwin appearance), and Milwaukee.

Lit drops took place in: South Wayne, Albany, Fort Atkinson, Whitewater, Elkhorn, Verona, Barneveld, Lyndon Station, Lake Delton, Indian Heights, Hochunk Village, Dodgeville, and West Allis. WCU lit was provided to a Christian for distribution in Florida and several other states. A November 13 lit drop of the WCU brochure "Rape, Murder, and Homosexuality" was done in Portage following revelations that a local sodomite had sexually assaulted a number of young boys. A young couple has begun regular lit dropping of WCU brochures in Muskego. They join faithful laborers in other towns such as New Berlin, Appleton, Oshkosh, Monroe, and Waukesha who are doing the same ongoing work. One angry man who called WCU to complain after receiving a WCU brochure spoke with Pastor Ovadal at some length and ended up saying, "I fully support your work. Thanks for all you do." WCU lit drops afford many opportunities to share truth and witness for Christ over the phone. It is not unusual to see people won over by God's eternal precepts during those conversations.

Mazo beach one last time . . . this year. If the DNR doesn't end the nudity, we will be back.

Mazo beach one last time . . . this year.
If the DNR doesn't end the nudity,
we will be back. ". . . be ye steadfast,
unmoveable, always abounding
in the work of the Lord . . . "
1 Corinthians 15:58

September 22: The last ministry event at Mazo beach in 2001 found the DNR surly, the nudists tense, the Christians on hand faithful and bold in their witness.

October 27: The Mazo beach battle came home to the DNR's top official, Secretary Darrell Bazzell, as WCU picketed his neighborhood and lit dropped his hometown McFarland. The flyer, titled "Is One of Your Neighbors an Accessory to Child Abuse?" contains poignant pictures of twelve different children being taken to the Mazo nude beach. It also powerfully exposes the DNR's lies and complicity with the nudists to keep the beach at Mazo a haven for sexual perverts and voyeurs. This well-attended event provoked much thought in McFarland, and from what we can ascertain, much consternation among DNR officials.

November 7: Pastor Ovadal's motion hearing for charges stemming from preaching the gospel on the Mazo beach parking lot. The judge turned down all motions by the defense and set a new trial date February 1.

November 9 & 10: WCU picketed, preached, and gave out salvation tracts outside the National Gay Lesbian Task Force Conference in Milwaukee. WCU also staged four rush-hour pickets on I-94 overpasses using large banners reading "Homosexuality Is Sin." A Friday night rally featured Pastor Ralph Ovadal and Peter LaBarbera, President of Americans for Truth. Pastor Ovadal and Peter LaBarbera did a number of radio interviews. God blessed WCU's work outside the conference, including through much one-on-one ministry. A number of sodomites asked for proof of what the Bible really says about homosexuality and seemed stunned to see it. Becky, a young lesbian who confessed to feeling guilty over the immoral acts she was committing (Romans 2:14-15), had the law of God and the way of salvation shared with her. This young lady returned to hear more of God's Word the next day. There were many young people at the conference including Sol Kelly Jones, a teenage girl who has been the "two moms" poster child of New Sodom in Wisconsin since she was a little girl. Pastor Ovadal confronted Sol's lesbian mother, Sunshine Jones, rebuked her, and shared the gospel with Sol. As Pastor was speaking, Sunshine grabbed Sol by the sleeve and began to literally spin from one direction to the other frantically trying to leave but looking as if she was being physically restrained in the middle of the public sidewalk! "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth." In another case of God doing exceedingly abundantly, above all we could ask or think, WCU missionary Mike Foht ran into Rep. Tammy Baldwin at a Milwaukee airport when he went there to pick up Peter LaBarbera. Mike briefly preached to the startled Tammy, telling her to repent! When will the wicked learn that they can run from God, but they can't hide?

Welcome home, Ruthe!

Welcome home, Ruthe! "They that forsake the law praise
the wicked: but such as keep
the law contend with them."
Proverbs 28:4

November 27: WCU picketed and lit dropped DNR official Ruthe Badger's neighborhood. Ruthe directly supervises the DNR's nude beach near Mazomanie. She has developed a very cozy relationship with the nudists and continues to lie for them while exhibiting hostility to Christians who are standing against the beach. The picket was very well attended for a dark, drizzly weekday with about thirty-five Christians traveling to Madison for the event. We spoke with seven of Ruthe's neighbors. They had not known Ruthe's connection to the beach. Five of the seven expressed solid support for our efforts! The highlight of the evening occurred when Ruthe came home from work. Apparently taken totally by surprise, she pulled her car to a brief stop in the street but seemed afraid to turn past picketers into her driveway. She then drove away but was spotted several blocks away, hiding in a side street! "The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion" Proverbs 28:1). For the next forty-five minutes, another car driven by a woman talking continuously on a cell phone made repeated circuits past Badger's home. She was overheard cursing and saying, "They are still here!" Eventually, police came but did not molest the Christians. After a closing time of hymn singing and prayer, we left; but when Ruthe felt safe enough to come home is anyone's guess. We trust that the Lord used His people to strike a holy fear and a firm conviction of wrong in Ruthe Badger's heart.

From the WCU Mailbag
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you." John 15:18

"I have never been more outraged by a bunch of narrow-minded nazis in my life. . . you ridiculous excuses for human beings . . . people like you should die a very slow and painful death . . . Where do you people come from? The depths of Satan's feces? It is groups like you that only encourage violence, hate and prejudice. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope everyone of you burns in hell. . . ."

"Their throat is an open sepulcher; with their tongues they have used deceit;
the poison of asps. is under their lips: whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."
Romans 3:13-14
