Witness
to Basketball Fans
and "Peace" Marchers
On March 18, we once again took advantage of the WIAA
state boys' basketball championships to share the gospel with multitudes
of basketball fans, many of them high school students. During our time in
front of the Kohl Center in Madison, we held signs and banners with
biblical messages, passed out thousands of tracts,
and preached as well.
A preaching bonus occurred when a large "peace
march" passed nearby. We were able to hand out tracts and preach the
gospel as well to a crowd of not-so-appreciative young leftists and
left-over hippies from the 60s. We went home rejoicing, knowing that many
thousands had heard the gospel, which is "the power of God unto
salvation to every one that believeth." Back

The
Mail Campaign Continues
We continue to send out our truth packets to rural
households since it is impossible to reach those people with our
door-to-door work. Each home receiving our mailing gets the brochures Homosexuality:
The Truth and What
the Bible Really Says about Homosexuality. Also included is
our flyer
on the marriage amendment which will be voted on this fall by the people
of Wisconsin. Our latest mailings went to rural households in the Wausau,
Ashland, Rhinelander, and Oshkosh areas. Back

April
26, 2006 Day of Silence Witness
As usual, PCC sent a team to several high schools
observing the sodomite Day of Silence. We also equipped other teams with
literature to hand out to students at that opportune time which the
sodomites have provided us. The PCC team, led by Pastor Ovadal, began the
day by setting up a witness in front of Edgerton High School where the
school administration openly and enthusiastically promoted the Day of
Silence, even giving out Day of Silence armbands through the school's
guidance office! Many students arriving for school accepted our
literature; several even asked for extra copies to distribute inside the
building. A small group of sodomites tried to intimidate and disrupt our
witness, but local police made short work of that effort.

EHS students interact
with a PCC member. |
After our time at the school, we set up a witness at a
downtown Edgerton intersection using signs with biblical messages about
homosexuality and also on marriage. This provoked the local paper to
interview us. The reporter seemed quite surprised and a bit upset by the
information which we gave him concerning the local school's support of the
Day of Silence. Next year, the administration of EHS may not be so keen to
openly support sodomite propaganda.
Next, the PCC team set up signs at an intersection in
Fort Atkinson. After that, we took our signs and tracts to the front of
the Fort Atkinson High School. Local police were professional and
friendly, letting us know that the principal of FAHS had unsuccessfully
demanded that police remove us from the public sidewalk. Two young
sodomite males came out of the school holding hands, seemingly bent on
mocking us. They ended up sitting on the grass, each reading a copy of What
the Bible Really Says about Homosexuality. When they left,
they were each holding a brochure and not holding hands.

Preaching at the
farmers' market. |
The afternoon found us in the town of Lake Mills where
we set up two different "anti-homosexuality" witnesses at two
different intersections at two different times. Then we set up our signs
and handed out tracts to students leaving Lake Mills High School. The most
opposition at the school came from a sneering, combative principal who
claimed to be a Christian and have the support of the local churches. The
man was clearly wrong on the first count but obviously right—with the
exception of one small fundamentalist church—on the second! This is the
town from which several local neo-evangelical leaders had asked us to stay
away and where a liberal clergy group had run a newspaper article
condemning our ministry. But our time there was abundantly blessed by God
with much truth poured into Lake Mills and a nasty tax-funded principal
rebuked and put on the run by the Word of God. Back

Preaching at the farmers' market. |
Gospel
Seed Sowing
at the Farmers' Market
On Saturday, May 20, we made our 2006 debut at the
farmers' market, where an estimated 20,000 people shop. PCC was joined by
some friends, including two new-found brethren from a solid fundamentalist
church in northern Illinois.

|
Handing out gospel tracts
at the farmers' market. |
We set up our large
Bible verse signs next to the sidewalk which circles the
capitol square and, during the farmers' market, has thousands of people
shuffling around it counter-clockwise at a slow pace. A good distance
behind the signs, we set up a gospel banner and a preaching team. At each
location, we had tract distributors as well. With this approach, the crowd
had plenty of time to take tracts and read the signs before they came
within earshot of the preachers. After one preacher shared a message, we
would move our entire set-up forward to a new location; and then another
preacher would give the message. We continued to do this all morning,
working our way around the square.

Handing out gospel tracts
at the farmers' market. |
Everyone with PCC was amazed over the number of
individuals throughout our morning at the farmers' market who would stop
dead in their tracks and read, sometimes aloud, our gospel signs. Many
also took pictures. We were able to give out over 1,300 gospel tracts, and
thousands heard our preaching.
 |
|
Many thousands read our
message at the farmers' market. |
Of course, we also had plenty of cat calls, nasty
language, and in one case, spit directed our way from those who found the
preaching of the gospel foolish (1 Corinthians 1:18). In one case, a lesbian began to
chant, "So many Christians; so few lions." Among the more
humorous incidents was that of a man insisting to police that he was the
victim of "audio assault" from Pastor Ovadal's preaching. It was
also sad to hear some parents instruct their children not to read the
gospel signs. One dad told his children that the gospel message is
"pollution." But one has to expect the devil to get a little
upset when thousands of people are hearing the gospel of the Lord Jesus
Christ. Back to top.
More
Violence from Sodom
Mike Foht, a PCC deacon, is also a Christian worker for
our church. We give him financial support as do others who appreciate his
valuable work. Mike street preaches weekly, is a regular with our Thursday
Planned Parenthood witness, is a mainstay at all of our "big"
PCC ministry events, does a weekly witness at an abortion mill, and also
spends several days per week lit dropping our biblical brochures which
deal with homosexuality. On the days when Mike is out lit dropping homes
with PCC lit, he often does a street corner witness as well. Because of
this, citizens of Wisconsin are weekly being exposed to the biblical truth
about homosexuality not only through lit drops but also by signs and
banners. If Mike is lit dropping by himself, it is not unusual for him to
do a one-man witness. In such instances, he is especially vulnerable to
attack by the "inclusive, tolerant" citizens of New Sodom and
also her supporters, those dwelling in her suburbs.
On May 13, Mike set up a one-man witness at a busy
intersection in Janesville, Wisconsin. Before long, a cursing man in a
truck threw a bottle at him. Next, he pulled up in a parking lot behind
Mike and let loose a string of lewd threats, even though he had children
in the vehicle with him. Finally, Mike's new-found acquaintance drove onto
the sidewalk and attempted to run over Mike, who had to literally run for
his life. As this was all happening, a good Samaritan in a passing car
called for police help. Next, the same man interposed his own car between
Mike and his attacker's vehicle and jumped out to come to Mike's
assistance. At that point, the homicidal truck driver fled. However,
Janesville police tracked him down and took him into custody, charging him
with a felony crime for attempting to run over Mike Foht. Our experiences
with the Janesville police have always found them to be professional and
friendly. The attack on Mike made our local media; and obviously, the
Janesville police were presented with some real insight into the heart of
Sodom. So we praise God for Mike's persistent courage and that he was not
injured. We also rejoice to know that the enemy's attack backfired and was
used greatly for the cause of truth. That is the way it always is and
always will be when Christians are willing to take an open, truly biblical
stand for the Lord.

From a sodomite blog in which
the topic was whether violence should be used in response to the
ministry of Pilgrims Covenant Church:
• "If you
hold a sign to my face that says, 'Homosexuality is sin,' I will
respond accordingly, and you won't like it. Not one bit."
• "It's
pretty simple really. When you dehumanize people and reduce them
to nothing by sinning vermin, the religious nuts shouldn't really
be surprised that the sinners (that's us) respond with anger. . .
. What they are seeing now is a movement that's sick and tired of
being bullied by these religious thugs. Sometimes that will result
in harsh words being used and sometimes, there may be violence.
That's what happens when you push someone too far. . . . When you
start messing with real people's lives, anything can happen. If
they keep this c--- up, they should expect consequences. And
sometimes those consequences could be severe."
• "I look at
it this way. I'm tired of playing nice while they are allowed to
spout their idiocy. Would anyone have objected to a Jew in 1935
beating the c--- out of a Nazi? Would they not have cheered them
on? In my book these 'Christians' are no different. . . . If they
want to be martyrs, let them be martyrs." |

And
What Are They "Advocating"?
The Advocate is billed by its editors as the
national gay and lesbian news magazine. The slick biweekly could be
described as a "mainstream" sodomite, political publication.
Recently, a Christian brother brought to our attention an article in the
January 31, 2006 edition of the Advocate. The piece was titled
"Our Enemies List" and included a few comments on each of twelve
individuals from various ministries across America. Can you imagine a
Christian or a conservative organization publishing an article titled
"Our Enemies List" and then listing leaders of the sodomite
movement? It takes little imagination to hear the chorus of voices
shrieking on and on about the mayhem and death which would be brought
about by such a thing. We would hear that the article was a veiled
encouragement of violence against the individuals mentioned. We would hear
a demand for universal condemnation of those behind such an article. But
the sodomites see themselves as a sexual elite, a superior race above
criticism and not to be subjected to objective judgments.
|
From "The Crazy Uncle in
the Attic," a CNI article by WTMJ talk show host Charlie
Sykes:
"Candidly, most of the
reaction I have gotten is in the form of emails arguing that Ovadal
is, in fact, right about the pope and that I need to read more
Scripture." |
Included in the Advocate's enemies list was
"incendiary preacher Ralph Ovadal," also described as being
"deranged." So it goes in our world today. Sodomy is swell, but
biblical preaching is deranged. One must wonder what New Sodom's cadres
will do to "deranged" Christians if they ever get the power they
want in our country. Back to top.

Spring Preaching Conference

Ulster Pastor Brown enjoys a
Baraboo, Wisconsin PCC witness. |
Our May 6 spring preaching conference went very well.
Although no public ministry funds were used for this event, our friends
might be encouraged by a brief report. Rev. Ian Brown, Londonderry Free
Presbyterian Church, spoke on the Bible
translation issue, very ably showing why the modern Bible
versions are corrupt and not to be trusted by Christians. In addition,
Reverend Brown gave a very worthwhile presentation on the truth
behind the Troubles of Northern Ireland. Pastor Ovadal's
messages were "The
Roman Catholic Church Is Not a Christian Church" and "A
Biblical Answer to Sodom." Both messages were filled with
irrefutable biblical evidence which equipped the listeners to earnestly
contend for the faith once delivered unto the saints. Many conference
goers expressed that they had greatly benefited from the day. Two pastors
were among the "non-PCC" local people to attend. One, a nice but
highly ecumenical man, seemed to be genuinely convicted by Pastor Ovadal's
preaching on the RCC, which included a call to God's people for biblical
separation. On the following Lord's Day, May 7, Reverend Brown preached
the morning message with Pastor Ovadal preaching a message in the early
afternoon. This was followed by a presentation by Reverend Brown titled
"The Gunpowder Plot," which detailed a Romanist plot to blow up
the British Parliament in 1605. All in all, the preaching conference
seemed to be greatly blessed by the Lord; and Lord willing, we intend to
do it again next year. Back to top.

From the Mailbag
+
"You claim to be a 'church.' The misinformed information with
which you cluttered my front doorway is the most ignorant,
discriminating, hateful and horrible piece of writing I have read. I
feel this establishes your credibility in the same category as the
Nazis and the KKK. I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that
you will be enlightened and forgiven."
+
"I am appalled to receive such unchristian, inhumane, hate
literature from a congregation that calls itself Christian. Is not
the Gospel about love and not hate? I suggest that you have a great
deal of work and study to do about the Bible before you
pontificate."
