Black River Falls v. Mazo Beach
Will nudists give up their stolen beach now?

For five years, a controversy has been raging over the Department of Natural Resources's decision to allow nudists to commandeer one of the most beautiful public beaches in Wisconsin for their own use. Ever since the opening salvos of that battle were fired, the Mazo Beach nudists have whined that there is nowhere in the state where they can run naked in the great outdoors in front of children of all ages. Now state news media has been reporting that a nude campground has opened by Black River Falls. Our hunch is that the Mazo Beach crowd will still prefer to have the taxpayers of Wisconsin fund their "textile free" romps. The only question is, Will the DNR finally quit covering up for the nudists at Mazo and finally make the nudists cover up or else head for Black River Falls?

Whatever the DNR decides to do, WCU's course was set five years ago. We will continue to resist the spread of public nudity by continuing to press for an end of the nudity at Mazo Beach. On Saturday, July 31, WCU will be on the parking lot and one-mile walk to Mazo Beach. We will be holding signs and banners as well as preaching the gospel and handing out gospel tracts to the beachgoers. An advance team will be on hand by 8:30 AM with considerably large numbers arriving by 10:00 AM.

Those who desire to support the ministry of Pilgrims Covenant Church may send their gifts to PCC, P.O. Box 314, Monroe, WI 53566. Those who desire to support a specific ministry effort of PCC, such as "The Heart of the Matter" or the cost of the literature which we distribute, should be sure to designate that when sending their gifts.
