A
Response to ECT Light
Today,
Tuesday, November 28, a coalition of pro-family/pro-life leaders issued
a press release in response to Pastor Rick Warren's decision to have
U.S. Senator Barack Obama speak at the Global Summit on AIDS being
hosted in Warren's Saddleback Church. The very language of
that document is a witness against those Protestants who have signed it.
Still
Waiting for Reformation
. . . Rome continues to make converts of Protestants corrupted by
ecumenical ministry. The National Catholic Register's latest
edition contains two articles trumpeting the news that Operation Rescue
founder Randall Terry is the latest Protestant pro-life activist to join
the Roman Catholic Church.
A Matter
of Law
The use of lethal force in defense of unborn human life is a grave
matter on many counts. Emotional appeals to out-of-context legal axioms
do not justify the unrighteous use of force, while understandable but
emotional, knee-jerk revulsion without a basis in law in response to the
use of such force may demean the lives of unborn human beings.

What
Should We Do about Abortion?
1/21/2007—My
text today is Luke 10:25-37, which contains what is known as the Parable
of the Good Samaritan. The topic of my sermon today is, What is the
church's responsibility with regard to abortion? What are our duties to
the unborn, if any? I remember a time when the vast majority of
Christians saw the killing of an unborn child as being a woman's private
business. I remember a time when most Christians did not think they had
any duty to their unborn neighbors. I see a time now in which many
Christians have made an idol out of the unborn child while showing
contempt for lost souls, the gospel, the Lord's church, and His glory.
But neither of those two extremes is biblical and right. 59
minutes.
Thirty-Two
Years after Roe v. Wade
1/23/2005—What lessons should
Christians have learned after thirty-two years of unborn child-killing,
and what will be the long-term
effects of the current pro-life movement? 64
minutes.
