Dear Friends,
Seven weeks ago, we sent
out an article I wrote titled “The Doctrine of
Sanctification: The Old Guy Definition?” Those of you who read
that article, with its numerous pictures and links, will need no
introduction to the material below. Those who have not read the article

The material below is off of the Flickr page of The Master’s College
which has Pastor John MacArthur at its helm as president. The Fall Thing
was one of the events covered in the just mentioned article. If this
year’s recent Fall Thing is any indication, it is business as usual in
MacArthur land. These pictures look more like they were taken at some
Greco-Roman heathenish festival rather than at an event staged for and
with Christian students by a Christian college whose president is hailed
as an uncompromising champion of the faith—in fact, a minister
exalted on his own church web site "as one of
the greatest preachers alongside names like John Calvin, Charles Spurgeon,
and Dr. Martin Lloyd-Jones" (http://www.gracechurch.org/grace_today/posts/1058/a_ministry_milestone/).

Fall
Thing is our campus-wide fall social: a fun, themed evening of
entertainment, snacks and refreshments. This year's was held at the
California Science Center and was themed "Unrestricted Reality".
Past events have
featured themes like "The Roaring 20's" or "Celebrity Look
Alikes". Entertainment has included hot-air balloon rides, magicians,
murder-mystery theater, and much more. It is a fun evening designed for
everything from couples to entire wings and other groups of friends coming
together and having a great time.
