Victory
"Watch
ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong." 1
Corinthians 16:13 |

Dear Friends,
I have very good news for you. This
past Saturday, we received word that VCY America will permanently
drop Janet Porter and her Faith2Action program! Since it is VCY
which engineered the F2A program, I would imagine Porter's program will
also be dropped from other radio networks, at least until she can make the
necessary arrangements to replace the service VCY was providing. It is too
bad VCY did not do the right thing much earlier. For years, Porter has
promoted Romanists and all sorts of false teachers. In the last six months
alone, Deb Fritch, a dreams and visions pastor, has appeared on
Porter's program eight times! Porter's May Day co-conspirator prophetess
Cindy Jacobs also made appearances to push May Day 2010. Of course, that
event was not done in the dark. It was well promoted on VCY, and it is
very hard to believe that VCY personnel had not even once checked the May
Day 2010 web site which proudly displayed what was to take place, and by
whom, on "May Day." It is not that I am saying there is
no one connected to the VCY network who was not troubled by that
event. But it seems apparent to me that the pressure put on
VCY by a number of you in response to the exposure we gave the May Day
abomination finally forced the hand that has the authority and so
brought about this great victory for truth and the faith once delivered
unto the saints. Thanks be to God who blesses us with such heartening
news at just the right time! May the Lord bless all of you who prayed and
took action in this matter.
Later today, we will be posting a short
special edition of the Heart of the Matter (http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?sermonID=531012483810)
which will contain audio clips from May Day 2010. You will be shocked
and grieved by what you hear. But as this development with Mrs. Porter
shows, such evil does need to be publicly exposed and reproved. Then on
our regular program on Friday, we will have more audio clips and also more
information on May Day 2010.
Sincerely,
Pastor Ralph Ovadal

A not-so-smooth job of buck passing

Dear Friends,
Today I listened to VCY America's Vic
Eliason's short on-air explanation as to why the Janet Porter program was
suddenly jerked today from airing on VCY. Vic spoke of "wrestling for
months" with the decision based on the false teachings of Porter. The
VCY web site currently has the same statement posted. This, of course,
begs the question, If Vic and co. were already aware of and wrestling for
months over the grievous error, at least some of her grievous error,
which Porter was spreading over the VCY network, why did they let her go
on and on deceiving the body of Christ for so long? To give one very
recent example, why did VCY allow Porter, along with her prophetess and
girl-pastor friends, to promote the May Day event for months and
right up to the very day it took place? Why did VCY allow the name of the
Lord to be so blasphemed and the body of Christ to be so injured in
that way? To make matters worse, the VCY web site states that VCY America
"provided satellite services, air time, production, and line fees
without charge" for Janet Porter's program. Vic said the same thing
in his statement, thus making himself and VCY even more culpable in
Porter's horrendous error and the harm which has been done to the
body of Christ.
It is too bad when people do the right
thing only after being pushed into a corner with no alternatives. It is
even worse when those same people then strike a righteous pose and pretend
their decision was a matter of principle and fidelity to the Lord. What
Vic--and I understand to a fuller extent later Ingrid on Crosstalk--did
was the equivalent of a criminal caught in the act suddenly making a
citizen's arrest on his accomplice and then pretending to be a hero. But I
still rejoice that the Lord's blood-bought flock will no longer be injured
by Janet Porter through her Faith2Action program, at least on the
VCY America network. We are very thankful to the Lord, and to all of you
who forwarded my articles on May Day 2010 and, in some cases, sent e-mails
of your own to the VCY management. May He richly bless you and strengthen
your hearts with grace.
Sincerely,
Pastor Ralph Ovadal
P.S. One of our workers has pointed
out that VCY America has now added "ecumenism" as another reason
for dropping Janet Porter. I wonder if they will also stop interviewing and
providing airtime for representatives of many other deeply ecumenical
ministries? I wonder if this means Vic and Ingrid will stop having Roman
Catholic guests on Crosstalk and drop the Bill Federer and
Phyllis Schlafly spots?
