Christians: Your chains are being forged in a sodomite
foundry.
Report for June
11, 2004 Christians need to listen to what the heirs of
Sodom are saying about those who speak against sexual perversion. The
message is clear: they will not "tolerate" such
"homophobia," and they will eliminate it! Here is yet another
example of that reality. The Poway Unified School District of San Diego,
California is being sued on behalf of a student who was disciplined for
wearing an "anti-gay" T-shirt on the sodomite propaganda Day of
Silence. The action alert below was sent out by a sodomite group called
IMPACT. Because we are not interested in helping IMPACT in their crusade
to silence Christians, we have eliminated all contact points given in the
alert. IMPACT also provides a sample letter for school students to send to
the local newspaper. The letter includes comments such as "I
believe that such statements, as 'Homosexuality is Shameful' reflect a
clear anti-lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) sentiment that
is dangerous in schools. . . . stating that a sexual orientation is
'shameful' is not only damaging to LGBT students and staff, but such
assertions create an unsafe environment . . . Schools need to address the
ills of homophobia and other types of oppression . . . Homosexuality is
not Shameful, Hate is Shameful!"

Subject: [SD-GLBT] ACTION ALERT: IMPAUTH RESPOND TO POWAY ANTI LGBT INCIDENT
6.9.04
ACTION ALERT!!! IMPACT needs your help
Dear Community Leader,
Chase Harper, a 16 year old Poway high student wore a shirt during and
after the April 21 "Day of Silence," a national event held on
high school and college campuses to protest discrimination against gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgender students. Harper's shirt, in hand
written letters read, "I Will Not Accept What God Has Condemned"
on the front "Homosexuality is Shameful" on the back.
When Harper wore a similar shirt the next day, a teacher told him he was
violating the school dress code and must remove the shirt or go to the
office. Harper refused when asked to remove the shirt by the school's
assistant principal. The school's assistant principal said the shirt
violated the dress code, which states that unacceptable dress includes
clothing that promotes or portrays "violence or hate behavior
including derogatory connotations directed toward sexual identity."
Harper faced an in-school suspension as a result of his refusal to remove
the shirt. As a result Harper has filed a suite against the Poway Unified
School District on grounds that the administration had violated his
"religious" or "first amendment" rights.
We need your help in letting the media know that
we
do not stand for hate language, and support the Day of Silence and
its goal of creating safe schools for all individuals, regardless of
sexual orientation or gender identity/expression. 84% of LGBT students
report being verbally harassed because of their sexual orientation.
Help
us to send a message that hateful language is the seed of violence and
that it will not be tolerated in our schools or in our community.
HATE is Shameful.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
